Latest Check-Ins

Stayed two nights. Good location and we felt safe. Payed 60bol/night. Shower were really dirty we didn't use it.

Report Check-In

just a paved parking lot of this apartment complex. no frills but good location. I don't think the bathroom was THAT bad, but was very simple that is shared with other rooms on this floor. dog friendly, but there isn't anywhere for them to potty on grass/dirt here, or within 3 square blocks of here. only charged us 50 for 1 night. friendly owner. very quiet at night. we were not offered showers, nor did I ask, and the bathroom that was shown to us did not have one.

in addition to our former comment some fotos

Report Check-In

as said before:
parking lot, entrance max 2.85m (our camper ist 2.86m high😀). so we are probably the highest overlander ever here in😀 the owner did not believe we can get in.
still 60 Bol per night.
you can use the very dirty baños.
entrance door closed at 8pm, but you get a key.

Report Check-In

We stayed one night in our van, very quite and safe, price still 60 for two people, toilets are unclean but useable. No wifi. Gates closes at 8pm now but might be because we came in autumn.

Report Check-In

Safe parking lot. 60 per night. Bathrooms are really really disgusting, no tp, hot shower. No WiFi. We only stayed because the location is good, safe, close to center.

Report Check-In

We spent 2 nights on this central parking lot, still 60.-/night. Short walking distance to the city center. The toilet and shower is not that clean but not as horrible as described by others... probably we had good luck;-)

Report Check-In

We stayed here for two nights. It’s just a parking lot from a hotel in a courtyard. After 10pm the door is closed, and you need the keys. The toilets and the shower are still pretty disgusting...
Still 60bol for 2 and a van. Safe.

Report Check-In

When we first arrived Boris warned us a bit too much about “kidnappings express” that are going on with foreigners. It felt a bit intense and freaky. He wouldn’t cooperate with us so we could plug in our 220v cable so we paid 60 bolivianos just to sleep in our van and use their filthy bathroom. The bathroom situation is bad, there is a complete lack of cleanliness, pretty discussing. Location was good enough for us to stick around for 3 nights and use it as a base for sleeping only. The room he showed us made us realize that our van was much cleaner so we passed.

Report Check-In

Boris is cool and helpful. We paid 120bob, 2 people, 2 nights. Toilets are very very dirty...

Tip1: Boris phone number 72400762
Tip2: Don't forget to ask for the keys if you are to be back after 10PM

Report Check-In

pro: close to town and safe
con: toilet/shower was one of the dirtiest I've seen the last year and a half, parking lot is very busy. might need to squeeze to get into your car.
price: 40 Bob for one person for one night

Report Check-In

Our second visit. Still 60bob for 2 people and our 4runner. You don't get much for your money, but it's safe and close to town. And a consistently piping hot shower after our 2day marathon drive from Peru? Priceless :)

Report Check-In

Stayed at the parking lot of the hostel with our VW T3 and paid 75 Bolivianos for 3 persons (after negotiation down from 90). Parking lot closes at 10pm, ask for a key to get in and out afterwards. It's very close to the center where you can buy everything! Bathrooms are basic and not the cleanest. Ok for a night.

Report Check-In

Nice guy, paid 50 Bob per night for 2 plus van. Close to the center.

Report Check-In

The guy was in a bad mood when we came in. Our camper fit fine but he said he was going to call the tourist police and that we wasn't going to help us, only because someone in the courtyard said to come in as we were parked in the middle of the street, and he said we had not asked for permission, when I asked him if he was Boris he said yes, he was young maybe 32 and thin.. weird episode we left

Report Check-In

Pretty much the only option in Potosi but also a nice place. Safe parking, nice courtyard, ok toilet and shower. We fit with a bit over 2.6 m. The owner is really friendly. 60 BOB for camping, 10 BOB for only parking. Not sure why it is flagged as tent friendly, we did not see a spot to pitch tents.

Report Check-In

Safe and quiet, Carlos is nice! 60 for 2 and a VW Bus. Best place in town.

Report Check-In

Paid 50 for a VW Kombi, seems safe. Facilities are not super clean but shower is hot.

Report Check-In

Great spot, very quiet when we were there. Toilets fair but functional.

Report Check-In

Reasonable option. We tried to check out the car parks in the city but all were closed (siesta perhaps?). Rooms with private bano were 140bob and didn't thrill us so we camped in the van instead for 60bob. Not a complaint, but the toilet doesn't have a seat... I really don't understand the rational for that. Is it cost saving? Easier to clean? Makes you not want to stay too long? Lol. It's a bit weird.

Report Check-In

High clearance 3m.
Shower and toilet ok. Friendly and very safe.
Paid 60B 2pers incl car/night

Report Check-In

Parking on the cobblestone courtyard of the hotel. Toilet, warm shower, no other facilities. Close to center of town. BOB 60 (2 adults, camper)

Report Check-In

Paid 60.- / 295cm high vehicles will get thru entrance / in the offseason it was quite but facilities very dirty / nobody was present most of the time so we dont know if it is really a save parking / we can not recommend this filthy and poor place but there are no real alternatives in town as Recidencial Copacabana did not accept overlanders at this time of the year

Report Check-In

A place to stay in Potosí, about 5-10min from centre. Many people complained about the showers - yes, they were not so nice, but seen worse. At least they are truly warm, so you are not freezing after like in many places.
They let us open our rooftop tent, basically no wind as the parking is surrounded by buildings.

Report Check-In

Parking in the courtyard of the hotel.
Toilet and shower not very clean but ok. Secure place.
60 bol for 2 persons.

Report Check-In

Paid 50bol. Basic parking lot. Nasty restroom but hot shower. If you want to see the mines Greengo Tours was great. Forgot to mark the location. They even dog sitted for us while we were on the tour. Calle Junin #17.

Report Check-In

Flat cobblestone parking. Shower nice and hot. Lots of matching band at night when we were here. Close walk to the Centro.

Report Check-In

Cheap and cheerful place to park and stay in the van for the night. Very convenient for the city centre. 50 BOB for the night for us and he closes the gate at 10.30pm as it is 'dangerous after that'.

Report Check-In

We were thrilled to find this place as there do not seem to be many other options in town. Entrance to parking and hotel is through a tunnel. Our rig is 2.62 meters high and we made it in with a few centimeters to spare. We camped in the parking lot -- it was super quiet even though it was a Saturday night. Easy walking distance to the main plaza and the Casa de Moneda. Paid 60 Bs for the night which included access to flushing toilets and an electric shower (we didn't try it but it looks ok). Not sure if it is pet friendly -- it probably is but there is a small, but intimidating guard dog here.
