Peru
Checkpoint for papers and car content. Aduana Control.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
You have to turn left at the control (right is only for trucks).
Asked for TIP and passport. Checked for 5 mins and then wished us a nice journey.
Quick check as described. They asked for TIP, registration and driver’s license and also looked into our habitat box. All very friendly.
Report Check-InLovely SUNAT official. Super interested in our campervan.
Very quick.
Check for TIP and that it matches passport and number plate. Done in 3 minutes.
Heading north? Check out the best campspot in Peru, marked as Fisherman's Hut which is just up the road. Read all comments carefully before going to the beach and call Robbie beforehand! No cell reception at the Novotel sign, but at the palms down before you enter the beach there is.
Headed south? turn around immediately for Robbies place :)
Report Check-InMeticulously checked every letter of the names, the number plate, the VIN between the TIP, the car title and the car itself.
Very superficial 30 second look at the clothes and stuff at carry
Still here. Only asked for our vehicle documents. Took 30 seconds.
Report Check-InThe officer checked the TIP and looked inside the van for a few seconds. That was all
Report Check-InPermanent aduana station where traffic is directed through. We showed TIP, drivers original passport and had a very superficial inspection of our van.
Report Check-InThe most thorough inspection I experienced so far. 5 guys going trough the car and all my stuff, even pulled out a little camera to look in my fuel tank and closed compartments. The guys were very relaxed and overall not a bad experience. Took about 45min. Do think my Colombian license plates did not help here
Report Check-InSuper easy, took two secs. Wanted us too put our windows down. Easy easy!
Report Check-InAsked for car documents, insurance, and passports. Make sure they list your camper on the TIP to avoid you having to go back to the border. We had friends that has a trailer and had to go back to have it added
Report Check-InFast and friendly. Asked only for the passports and car documents. No questions about papers for our dog, which we did't have.
