Something not right?

Description

We checked in at the Albertsons grocery store next door and we were told that truckers stay overnight here. So we did it as well with no problems. It was quiet and fairly dark.

Edit: not so quiet anymore, at least on a Saturday night. Drag racing + loud music.

Latest Check-Ins

Looks nice and quiet, but not the best.
Planet Fitness isn’t 24 hours, so the parking lot is quiet and there were plenty of big rig truckers parked here when I got here. But it’s almost midnight on a Saturday night and cars are still drag racing down the busy street nearest the parking lot and there seems to be a bar across the street that just turned up the bass on their music and seems nowhere close to quieting down.

El Paso, like most big cities, kind of sucks for finding quiet places to overnight. I’d recommend just finding a neighborhood and keeping a low profile on a side street for a night. That’s what I should have done.

Report Check-In

As described, had a good night of sleep.

It’s not abandoned anymore! A big Planet fitness took the place of the kmart now. We asked inside and since it’s 24hours they didn’t mind us there. Good for a night on the way somewhere else. Just be respectful of the place.

Nice place to stay in El Paso. The abandoned parking lot is not illuminated and you can walk to the Albertsons in a minute. WiFi is not fast!
