campground at a lake. Picnic tables, fireplaces/barbecues, trashbins, toilets. Even showers, but I don't think they are working. 20sites or so, many are large pull throughs.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
we went there thinking that it would be a free night as mentioned in the comments but it’s not true. We need to paid $15 per night to stay there
Report Check-InNot a bad spot. There were 3 other trailers camping when we arrived. We kayaked down the creek. Across the pond some folks were tent camping and fishing late into the night. Occasionally they got a little loud, mostly over the excitement of catching a large fish.
The bathrooms are open but the showers are closed.
Pay station at entrance to park. $15 overnight, $7 day use. Plenty of open spots. Bathrooms are closed. Showers are closed. No running water. Quiet spot. But clean and well taken care of. Nice and secluded.
Report Check-InSeptember 2020. It's technically not free anymore. there is a self pay station. no one was collecting, no host. the lake is scenic and pretty clear for swimming (back toward the bridge better than the campsites). what no one mentions is this is near the traintracks and there are trains all night and day like every half hour or so and they honk everytime they come through. so if you are sound sensitive it's not great. I wear earplugs every night so it wasn't that bad. there is also a bright light nearby for planes or something that blinks on and off all night. other than that nice place close to town. check out the standing on the corner park and have a meal at the historic la posada hotel or just walk around inside/outside. the food is excellent and not that expensive for the quality and atmosphere. bathrooms open, showers off. cute bats sleeping on the ceiling in the restroom.
Report Check-InTable and fire. Restrooms were open and we camped right next to the lake. Great place and free 😍.
Report Check-InI am at the campground today, 5-21-20, and it's open along with the restrooms and dumpsters. Great spot for free! Several days later as I was leaving I saw the new sign at entrance to campground: Day use: $7.50 Overnight: $15.00 Camp host has told us to look for sigh on way out as he had been told the city was going to start charging for use.
Report Check-InClosed temporarily due to COVID-19. Was previously open in mid March. But not today, May 9, 2020
Report Check-InThe lake recreation area appears open, but the campground is currently closed due to Covid-19.
Report Check-Ingreat little park with views over a small lake. there are sites right on the water and pull throughs overlooking the entire area. the sign says you can stay up to 14 days. bathrooms have been shut down, possibly just for the winter season. there is also a large ajoining day use area. definitely worth checking out.
Report Check-InStayed here two nights , great site. Peaceful and quiet, 3 other units here.
Toilets shut for winter so it offers no services at all, bring you own. And it’s all free. 👍🏻
This was an excellent free campsite! There were a lot of people but it was a beautiful spot. There is supposedly a swimming hole and also a flushable toilet. Make sure to bring your own drinking water. Free camping up to 14 days!
Report Check-InWow...what a great place. Beautiful lake. People Kayaking, boating, Paddle boarding & swimming.
Boat launches. Bathrooms for men & women. Picnic area with picnic tables at every site. Pull through for large rigs. Fire pits on some sites but grills on every site. Some sites are paved and some gravel. Beautiful simply beautiful...
Nice spot. If you have a high clearance vehicle, you can go to the end by a locked gate: nice and included!
Report Check-InWe made it back through Winslow again and stayed here for 5 days. Not much has changed since our last visit. Verizon coverage is good though. Bathrooms could use a good cleaning.
Report Check-InCamping on the lake. Not good access to water from most campsites. Most have tables and grills though
Report Check-InOkay for maybe a few days, bathroom a bit messy but this is a FREE site so no complaints.
Report Check-InFree dry camping for 14 days. Toilets and bbq available. No shadow. Directly at a lake.
Report Check-InFree campground at a lake. Picnic tables, fireplaces/barbecues, trashbins, toilets. Even showers, but I don't think they are working. 20sites or so, 4 large pull through.
