Nice and green campsite in the middle of nature. We had a beautiful spot under the Tamarind tree. Basic facilities. Jeremiah is very nice. He opened a chalet so we could use a European toilet. Lots of wood around, we made an amazing fire. We really enjoyed the hot water river, they created the perfect place to swim. They charge 1000pp, kids halve price, swimming in the river is another 300pp.

We stayed at Kudu Campsite for three nights. The owner Jeremiah is very kind, friendly and helpful. Amenities are basic. Unfortunately maintenance work is not a priority. We enjoyed our stay. Cycled, sat in the hot spring water and enjoyed a very simple meal at the local Choma nyama restaurant. Take own condiments!

We are riding on the Kenyan bike odyssey and was originally going to stop at Bogoria spa resort 13km north, but they wanted 2500ksh per night each to camp. we decided to keep going to come to this camp.

when arriving in town at first it doesn't seem like much, but the camp is like a little oasis from the heat. big shady trees, camped 20m from the warm River and there are private thermal spa pools to relax in at the back of the camp.

The staff at the camp and the people in the village are so friendly and always come up to welcome you to their village but afterwards leave you alone. we didn't get asked for money once the whole 2 days we were in the village which I think is a first the whole time we've been in East Africa.

Prices were 800ksh for residents and 1000ksh for non residents. definitely recommend if you don't want to spend the money at Bogoria spa resort.

Very peaceful campsite, by the Maji Moto (hot water) River. The rover has a blue pool, where you can have a hot swim. The water in the camp is hot and is pumped direct from river (untreated). If you’re visiting to camp on the available rooms, u may want to book prior, as there are limited rooms. A very interesting camp site, where local ladies come to bath, oblivious of any camp visitors. To get t the camp is a treacherous affair, with over 30KMs of rock earth road. You can get to the camp either via Mogotio town or Marigat town. While here, ensure you visit Lake Bogoria. It’s 6Kms away

Turn off right about 200 metres before the Spa Resort and follow the track for 15 km. You come to a park gate. The camp is outside the park, about 300 metres ahead. Hoot.

Ablutions are smelly squats, but the camp has very basic rooms with flush toliets that the staff will open. Beyond the camp there is a hot spring in which you can bathe.

The park is a five km drive from the camp, but there are no signs or maps. At the moment the hot springs are very small, because the lake was flooded and expanded. But the views of Flamingos are great. Take a local guide or get exact directions for the park from the warden at the gate.

nice place. toilets and showers could be cleaner but the camp is quiet and shady. we paid 800/person...no fee for the hot spring. we could buy basic stuff in the village to cook our dinner. nice place.

basic campsite. 2 long drops not super clean and 2 cold showers, but it's so hot that we did not mind! the village is at walking distance so we could buy what we needed for dinner. Jeremiah is super welcoming

A super campsite with its lovely warm springs to swim in. Facilities are basic with showers and long drop toilets. Short drive to Lake Bogoria where eventually the road is close enough to view the flamingos. Jeremiah, the camp manager, is kind and helpful, yet allows you to enjoy your own peace and quiet. A beautiful spot.

Nice campsite next to Maji Moto hot springs. Camp rates for 2021 were 800ksh pppn. Bandas with 3 small beds i side can be used at 1,200ksh pppn. Hot springs are free.
If coming from the south, the track shown on google maps/maps me can get quite rough and 4x4 is recommended. There’s an alternative road through the national reserve which is also rough in some places; however entry fees have to be paid to use this route.
The hot springs are popular with the locals as well but there are many small pools that can be accessed further up the stream for some privacy.

Basic camping but very nice location and hot springs are awesome. I'm traveling on a motorcycle- nice gravel coming from South, to continue North the track get quite rocky. Paid $1000 Shillings for camping, hot springs free. Definitely worth visiting!

Report Check-In

Very basic. We went with our own tent but the available bandas seem quite run down. Two not very clean long drop toilets and two cold showers available with doors which don't really close.
We were told they have increased thier rates to KES 700 residents and KES 1000 non residents, firewood 300-500 depending on group size.
We did enjoy the surrounding scenery and proximity to Bogoria reserve. The manager Jeremiah is also a wealth of knowledge and took our comments about the amount of rubbish in the reserve seriously.
The hot stream running around the camp was quite unique but full of cows drinking and locals doing laundry and fetching water all day so it wasn't very practical for swimming in, it was also low water level.
