Description

Beautiful resort on the lake shore. Numerous camping stands, but we struggled a little to find one that would fit the car with rooftop tent. Each campstand has own thatched concrete area with dishwashing sink and braai stand. Range of prices depending on location to shore. Nice bar and restaurant overlooking the lake. Numerous communal ablutions - very tidy. Free Wifi.

Great place for a night or two. Lots of different campsites to choose from but as someone said earlier a lot of them don't work for RTTs . We stayed in C7 which had private abultions and a kitchen and deck overlooking the lake. Lots of activities, bar and restaurant and swimming pool. b

Great great place for a night or few. So many activities to do and many accommodation options to choose from. We paid 440 for 2 adults and 2 big dogs for a RV size camping spot with private ablution next to the water. Pups loved it, they walked themselves to the lake to cool off. Ablution very clean, friendly and supportive staff. Definitely worth the price.

A beautiful resort. game drives, lots of bird life. we stayed in Rubens bay camp site. R200 pppn. Also paid R30 pp at the main gate. lots to do here and a lovely restaurant with great meals.

We took the chance to call the reception from the gate of the dam , albeit there was a sign” resort closed for a private gathering” - which was our luck. We were the only camper’s and stayed at the campsite named “ mailards heaven” with our Landcruiser with rooftop tent. We enjoyed a perfect view to the lake, had direct access for a cool dip into the lake and the complete silence.
The place is amazing when no one, or few people are there.

From a previous experience, avoid the weekend but during the week you should be able to find yourself a beautifull site @ N$380-00 for the 2 of us per night.

As before. Beautiful spot to relax. It‘s worth to check different Campsites! You will find your favorite spot. Recommendation!

What a surprise ! Beautifull next to the Oanob Dam. Exclusive campsites with own amblution & lapa overlooking dam. Camping R190 pppn children under 13 free. Entrance fee to dam R30 pppd. Restaurant with free wi-fi overlooking dam.

Amazing camp directly on the lake. Find the right camp for your camper, because most sites dont fit campers with rooftops, but it's close enough. Has large thatched living space with kitchen, dining tables. Toilets are private per camp just a bit of a walk from camp. Free wifi only at reception

All as above, very helpful and friendly staff. Quite place mid week. Beautiful setting.

Report Check-In

Very nice camping sites offered and super helpful, friendly staff!

Nice place, Private abulutions ok, still 120pppn & 30pp entree fee. If you want to do a hike, 4x4 trail etc. you have to pay extra.

Although a very ugly dam, it’s wet - which is a unique and quite delicious treat in southern Namibia.

The campsite site is more than a campsite - a waterfront balcony with wooden deck, thatched roof and ours was a private ablution. Value for money is outstanding.

Despite this, we had no privacy, the place was shockingly flithy, and if you’re there over the weekend, expect a noisy crowd.

But from us, grab a drink, watch the sunset over the murky damn, and party with the ducks all night long.

Price is still 120NAD pppn plus entry fee 30NAD pp. Very good value compared to other places.

Report Check-In

Nice place, big sites well spaced with good views. Paid 140pppn and for what you get it’s well priced. Geared mainly for Namibian and South African market who bring their boats for the weekend etc.

Report Check-In

Camp C8 (120 N$ pppn in peak season) is ok for bigger vehicles / trucks and has private shower and ablutions.

Beautifully located campsite on Lake Oanob. All reviews from below are still valid. We visited the campsite during the weekend and Newyear’s Eve and it was busy with large family groups gathering for this period. The place is well guarded and has friendly staff. The shop only has the basic needs so do the shopping in Rehoboth where a large Shoprite is present just North of town.

Many varied stands we arrived Saturday evening without a booking and scored the last available one, right beside the Aviary. Only N$180 for 2 of us. C7 became available on Sunday so we booked in for a further 2 nights. This one is exquisite with its own private deck overlooking the lake. Also a similar size thatched kitchen and ablution area, all private. We had a roof top tent. This was N$300 per night for 2 but very well worth it. There is also the gate fee as stated elsewhere. I’d return for C7 but perhaps not for many of the others. The resident cats do come around for a visit so feed them at your peril, because they won’t leave you alone after that. Staff are very friendly but bear in mind office does close at 6pm although there’s always security on duty.

When selecting one of the sites, check the private ablutions too. Some of them are in very poor condition or dirty

Beautiful resort! Since we were visiting right after the holiday season there was almost nobody there and then it is a tranquil piece of heaven. We stayed in ‘la rive’, one of the premie spots and payed $150 pp + 30pp park entrance (for multiple days). Private ablutions and access to the lake from the site

Report Check-In

As discribed below. Wifi only at reception and restaurant.
Don't bring your dog. The cats will eat him/her alive.
General ablusion block has 3 wc and 3 showers. When busy there will be a que. And 4 out of 9 lights bulbs did not work.
Nice setting at the lake whitout musquitos at the time we where there.
It is a pity that you have to pay extra for the walk to the dam and wildpark. You already payed entrance fee 30 pp.

Spacious resort spread around a scenic lake. Different prices depending on which site for camping, we paid 110 per person for private site and views of lake. Feels like the place would be busy at weekend and holidays but for us it was blissfully quiet and very peaceful good spot.

Report Check-In

Campsite visited by people from Windhoek. In weekends too many speedboats and waterscooters. Loud noice everywere. Here you can see: The diference between men and boy's is the size of their toy's.
Shared ablution, however boiler with old smelling water. Not many campsites for rooftop or campers due to the ground.

Great camping on a lake. Nice restaurant, bar. Variety of camp spots. Some less expensive with not much shade. Premium spots overlooking the lake with big shelters, braai areas, sinks, etc. Premium spots are N $140 ppn. Quiet and private outside of high season. One hour from Windhoek. There is petrol and groceries in nearby Rehoboth. Price excludes N $30 pp entry to park.

Report Check-In

Beautiful! The cheaper campsites are pokey, but the priciest ones have thatched verandas with kitchen and braai areas overlooking the lake. Quiet and peaceful. Good value for $140 pp plus $30pp entrance. Ablutions are also nice.
