dump station is outside the gate. no
indication of cost and no obvious way to pay. did not camp.
This is the best I found along I-10 in Louisiana, but it is pretty bad. Atchafalaya Welcome Center was packed, so I diverted here. The fee was $28 (it was that since 2019, see the photo I attached), and I was here alone. There is a phone number you call from the board to the right of the office, and an automatic voicemail tells you the code. Park anywhere that's open - for me, it was the whole park. Pay in the morning.
Can hear freeway noise a bit, choose the side further from the roads into the woods. Woke up at 4:44 am from the loud train horn that lasted a good while as the train was passing through the town.
Then woke up at 8am sharp from the leaf blower that was cleaning the leaves right on the spot next to me, while the entire park was empty and just as untaken care of. Hard to sleep here well. Atchafalaya welcome center was better in that regard.
In the morning, paid in the office and went to check out the legendary showers / facilities I read so much in the other reviews about. Indeed, they are completely disgusting. Dirty metal toilets and urinals you would not want to look at, not even approach. Entered the code for the shower, got startled when the lights turned on and I woke up a homeless man who was sleeping on the floor. Mentioned "someone is sleeping in the shower" in shock to the attendant who was outside, who with a bored look said "Yeah, ok, thanks."
Report Check-InNice and quiet camping for rv and tents. Miles of nature trails nearby. Public restrooms are ok and showers but I don’t think any hot water. There was a homeless man hanging out in the mens shower but he was nice and left so I could shower.
Report Check-InVery Nice camping site with dump station and potable water outside.
Closed at 5pm but you can enter with the door code and pay at the office (by cash with a letter box). Restrooms wasn't very clean. we didn't try the shower. Their is also playground for the kids
Actual price is 28$.
We had a very quiet night. I recommand this site
city campground. gated with code. if after hours, get the code by calling the number on the board outside the office. pay next day. one loop, just fine for an overnight.
Report Check-InAssez bien aménagé et tout près de Lafayette. 28$ maintenant en argent ou par chèque. Électricité et eau. RV Dump gratuite. Douche et toilette.
Report Check-InSmall county/city park but feels like a state park. Small pull through sites. Self pay, 28 cash. Water and electricity. Picnic table on site. Many pads are very steep and uneven. Walk to the one comfort station. Clean but no hot water. Low lying area. Could be very buggy. Great location for visiting the area.
Report Check-InA beutiful and quiete campground in Acadiana park near Lafayette.
