Beautiful „mirador“ with view to the vally and coloured mountains. The whole ruta 491 is amazing and interesting to drive through. Take care for big rigs, the tunnel is very tight!!!

Es un mirador donde se puede ver Huaco y todos los alrededores desde lo alto. Una plaza muy tranquila de noche, solo algún vehículo aislado que circula por la estrecha ruta de cornisa. El mirador es amplio y es un punto muy bonito, allí se puede pernoctar sin problemas, se puede acampar porque el área es plana y espaciosa.

It is a nice road, but if you have a big rig Its better to to stay on ruta40, we are 4m high, 3m wide and 10m long, 18tons, we made it but it was quite dangerous, but no place to turn back. there is also a tunel, about 4.20m

We didn‘t stay for the night but this would be our favourite overnight site. Flat asphalt surface, three trees to provide a bit of shade and it will be quiet over night as it was at our site on the lake shore about 15 min away. We came from San José de Jachal and the road is very narrow, windy and has a tunnel with a height restriction of 4,50 metres. At another spot there is a width restriction of 3,80 metres. We did the road comfortably in our 6m, Fiat Ducato 2WD, it‘s all asphalt which helps.

The camp spot is actually an official lookout, called "Mirador de la Cuesta de Huaco". The view is great, and no cars after dark.

jolie place pour dormir avec une vue fantastique!! il y avait 2 autres overlanders qui sont arrivés dormir.

Impressionnante vue sur les montagnes colorées et sur la rivière . C est une plateforme , une sorte de parking sans aucun service mais l'endroit est très beau. Il y a une épreuve de championnat du monde de modélisme ici , donc amateur de drones , c'est un bel endroit pour de belles images. Il y a possibilités de planter des tantes sur le haut du parking. Très tranquille ici , peu de voitures passent par cette route .
Route sur une seule voie ,3.80 m , en asphalte. Un peu étroite et vertigineuse mais bien sécurisée. Ok pour notre camping car canadien de 7.50 m.

Nice parking lot/mirador with an awesome view. Difficult to hide from the road and we were woken up at 6.00am by two desperate and lost argentinian people looking for the road to San Juan. Except that we had a peaceful night (almost no traffic on the road) and a wonderful breakfast with view.

It is very beautiful. Would like to note that the road itself from San Jose de Jachal to Ruta 40 (16 km) is an a scenery too.

A small tent on the back of the parking is almost invisible from the road. Great place to stay for a night, with an amazing view indeed.

Official view point with huge parking space. It may get the most beautiful sunrise of your journey - highly recommended!

Beautiful views , definetly a great spot to overnight. There are many camping options up the hill towards San Juan if this doesn't suit you.

Excelente vista panorámica desde este mirador, pasamos una noche muy tranquila en nuestra casita rodante, practicamente no pasan autos por la noche, tuvimos un buen descanso para luego seguir en precioso y pintoresco camino en subida, tal vez un poco angosto en algunos tramos para el largo de nuestra camioneta mas la casilla rodante de 4 metros, pero despacio y disfrutando el camino fue sencillo
