Description

Beach front restaurant with cabañas at the Chacahua Lagoon. For 300 pesos we got a cabaña with very clean private washroom and shower. Only used the shower and plugged in to use electric in our camper. We had a fabulous meal of Red Snapper Veracruz and fresh shrimp. The cooks husband caught the snapper in the morning. This will definitely become a regular stop on this stretch of the coast

We stayed one night and really liked it. Paid 150 pesos for parking our van but had no electric or water (they told us people usually rent a cabin for 500 pesos to plug in their RVs but we have solar so didn’t have to). The family was very nice and food was also good. Pool is cleaned every day and bathrooms/showers were nice and clean.

Nice place as others have described and very friendly family. Stayed two nights in my rig in exchange for eating at the restaurant. I have dogs and it was nice for them with direct beach access.

One of our favorite places we've stayed. Cerro Hermoso is a huge deserted beach. You can't go wrong. There are a few other places before this that offered free camping but we didn't check them. This spot is spacious and quiet as it's a little bit from the town area. $50p per vehicle even if you eat at the restaurant. They have a few nice dogs. Flat parking is only available for one vehicle. We are 8m long and fit fine. We stayed 2 nights and were the only guests besides some locals eating at the restaurant. We would have stayed much longer if we didn't have plans to get to Oaxaca. We initially thought of taking the boat ride to Chacahua but after getting here we had zero desire to leave. Showers are nice and cold, toilets clean but without seats, WiFi slow but works and reaches into the camper. Food and drinks very affordable. One telcel bar. Very nice family. Lots of shaded seating and hammocks.

Nice place for a stop and a visit to the chacahua lagoons. Let us camp no service if we ate. Beautiful beach, hammock and music. Mexicans come to spend the day with family. Restaurant of fish and shrimps, medium. Go to the village of El Zapotalito to take a boat to visit the lagoon and Chacahua, 1000 pesos for two by private boat including visit, explanations, visit a crocodile center, stop in Chacahua for dinner and swim in the crystal clear blue water at the entrance to the sea in the lagoon. We liked our guide Valentin.

Restaurant with cabanas. A very friendly and nice family operation. It is not an established camp ground but there is plenty of room and away from the busy restaurant area as you approach the beach. The beach here is beautiful. Showers and bathrooms.
The owner hooked us up to electric. No fee..they just wanted us to eat in the restaurant. We have a camper van and there is tent space also.
