it's a good spot, but when I drove in on the 2wd track there were old branches that had been placed over the track by somebody that doesn't want people driving in there. they looked old and had been driven over plenty times and it was getting late and had no other options, so I kept driving in. a few hundred meters further there were fresh branches that had been cut. I'd say they were a day or three old. so I turned around and camped somewhere in-between those two sets of branches. somebody obviously doesn't want the track used, but I think if you drive up the river and risk sleeping in the dry river bed or on an island in it you won't risk a confrontation
Report Check-InVery nice area. You can almost camp anywhere in this river bed, plenty of perfect spots. Almost no one around, just a few goats and sheperds. Plenty of fire wood. Watch out for spiders and scorpions, we saw a lot of those.
We needed to deflate the tires to drive in the river bed. Soft sand.
Nice and quiet bushcamp in the Khan Riverbed. Access is from D1937. After a sandy river crossing a faint 2 WD track is leading south to the riverbed. Here you can camp. If you want to go further in the sandy river 4x4 is mandatory. H+ MTC-Signal.
Report Check-Invery nice place, quiet, not visible from the main road.
Sandy there, need a 4x4 to find the place but there are many other places...
Very nice place. We had a very good MTC signal. A friendly shepherd passed in the early morning with goats. S 21 52.926. E 015 34.811 is the begining of the road to go to the wild camp
