Description

Quiet cul de sac between playa hermosa and parque Marino ballena. The road is bit rough and could be muddy after rain. At the end of the cul de sac there is room for parking, on the right you have a nice laguna, the one close to the road is safe according to locals, do not swim on the other side if you do not want to meet crocodiles. If you follow the trail at the end you will have To cross a short branch of laguna ( water 1.5mt deep and you end up on the beach walking south you reach punta balliena (ant park) no one foto us for the 10d entry ticket... 2 kids fishing told us was safe, police car come by and say watch out for “ladrones”....

Stopped here. It was little out of the way. It was raining so I had to use all wheel drive on 4runner to get here. great views of Laguna. Only drawback was that there were top many mosquitoes. Headed out of here asap. Great sunset though.

Fallen tree and too much mud (June) make the last 700m to this spot impasable even for 4x4.

To walk in to the National Park for free as described in an earlier post you need to walk 30min. River Crossing is 10cm deep at low tide and 1- 1,3m at high tide. Maybe scary but easy to walk through at high tide as river bed is sandy.
