Description

Residential area surrounds the park. The streets closest to the park have some available spots for overnight stays, just check the signs. There is a small café/market called “The Wilder Snail”, which is absolutely lovely, friendly and they have wifi. Within the park there is also toilets, which are closed during the night but otherwise decently clean. Neighbourhood is quiet and there are families and dogs all around. We stayed here for two nights.
Free hot showers at the Strathcona community centre.

Street parking. Houses on one side park on the other. Street all around the park lined with cars & a couple of vans. Women's bathroom closed for maintenance doesn't say for how long. Lots of people and dogs in the park in the morning.

I'm usually very comfortable and have decent relationships with most houseless individuals but some dude just tried to open my back car door not realizing we were in it and then threatened me when I offered him food or water so I told him to back off. He disappeared after the interaction. Aside from that, it's a quiet and lovely neighborhood with really sweet people living nearby. We're just sleeping with our bear spray really visible.

Quiet at night.
Only 2 hours during the day.
Washrooms at the park.

Nice neighbourhood to park and camp. The park toilets are accessible but were not very clean when we were there. Other than that it is street parking.

Either the neighborhood has improved or we're hardened travelers
.. this is a great place to camp (2nd night so far). No issues. Quiet and clean. The westside of park, on the E side of Heatley has no parking restrictions (other sides are 2hr).

Pretty gross park. Lots of crackheads. There was a man tripping out in the bathroom

Stayed here one night and felt safe. Didn't cook out the back of my van as it's a residential area. Toilet block closed from 10pm to 6am. Starts getting noisy around 7am. All good for a night or two.

Parfait pour dormir près du chinatown rue en cul de sac très tranquille

Good for going to Downtown otherwise nothing great. About 1.5km walk (though you walk through some shady part of town, lots of people on drugs sitting around but no one disturbed us.not sure how safe will be after dark and don’t suggest). once you cross that 1/2 streets you get next to water which is beautiful walking around downtown lots of eating places, mall and gift shops.
Parking itself is in safe area, little noisy with kids and crows but okay for a night as it’s a dead end not much street traffic . Less than 5 minutes walk to showers in community centre. Some spots have shade under trees.

Nice spot. Easy parking, quiet, near Chinatown. There is also a community centre really close with showers (Stathcona community centre). It's collective showers so you need your swimsuit. Still, it's seems open all year.
