Great site for smaller rigs. Primitive site only one also, some tent sites are available. Would come again.

Back here for the second time. Totally awesome spot. We stayed at the river bend too but a huge storm rolled thru today. Strictly four wheel drive (which we have). We returned here so there wasn’t mud to deal with. Navarre tomorrow baby.

Space for a about four cars, vans, or small RVs. Hiking area along the river that is great for tent camping. Some beautiful views and the river has a soft sandy bottom. Great for swimming. Rangers patrol the area and there are non-stop Eglin Air Force Base helicopters above today. Otherwise pretty quiet. Almost non-existent Verizon service. Maybe able to send a text, that's it. Great place to bring your dog! We even saw a couple fireflies (April). No amenities. The user below is mistaken about the showers. There are none here.

Quiet during the day, nice spot. But I heard gunshots all night every night I was here

Report Check-In

Would like to point out that this is a primitive camping site with NO bathrooms or hot showers mentioned in other comments. We did not have AT&T or Verizon service at this spot. Not on the beach, but lovely location with 3-5 distinct spots to park and a boat launch.

Nice spot, however another post mentions 30 day stay limit which is false. While the statepark campground does have amenities they are for the guest of the statepark campground. We were visited by a local game warden who was concerned that we may have been down here for more than the 14 day stay limit. we had arrived that afternoon. Please be respectful of the regulations so this place can remain as an option. As always pack it in pack it out. One last thing, this place is definitely more geared for smaller setups, I wouldn't recommend any rig over 40' as there simply isn't enough room.

This was a great spot, but please be aware that these GPS coordinates are for the primitive spots. There are NO facilities in this spot (no water, showers, or bathrooms), unlike what some of the reviews below say. You can find those in another spot about 20 minutes away I believe. But this place was nice, it was super quiet.

Report Check-In

There is a 30 day parking limit here so many long term people here but plenty of spots. Nothing spectacular EXCEPT the hot showers, had three people shower and still had hot water by the end! There is potable water at the fish cleaning station to fill up water jugs. The live-in watchmen is very nice and helpful! There was no Verizon or T-Mobil service here. While there were quite a bit of people here there is plenty of space to park away from people.

Perfect place to spend the night. our 21ft. van fit easily. nice path to walk with your morning coffee. Nice and quiet with some sounds of nature. please, as always, leave no trace.

Great spot, with fire ring, and flat and can accommodate 2-4 vehicles.

About 16 miles north of I10. It's a bit of a detour but VERY WORTH the drive. It is located near the boat ramp with plenty of campsites for camper can or sprinter or Class B or C size vehicle or perhaps even a short tow behind.I would not chance with it with a Class A . Road leading into campsite is a dirt road and very narrow and is about 1 mile from paved road. It is relatively smooth.. any vehicle would be able to drive it. Camp spots not marked but one could easily see where a spot is...ie fire ring, clearing in the grass, bare ground. Best part about campsite is there are working bathrooms with running water and FREE HOT SHOWERS and potable water!!! GREAT place. I would definitely put this spot on top of my list to stop if I'm ever near Pensacola again.

Quiet peaceful spot. perfect for a sprinter sized vehicle. good cell reception for at&t and tmobile.

This place is awesome. Plenty of camping spots for tents. At least 4 spots for van camping. Some RVs and travel trailers were parked here too. Quiet. 12 miles to town. State park near by has amenities for a flat fee.
