Argentina
Fuel in the middle of nowhere: expensive and to be paid in cash, please. Next gas station North: Malargüe at 207 km.
Next big station South: Chos Malal, 125 km (much cheaper than here)
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Today nafta super was 990/L. Cash only. Suggest you fuel up at Chos Malal if you are southbound and have enough to make it, will be way cheaper at the YPF station there.
Report Check-Intoday we payed for
diesel comun (ultra) 1100$ !
diesel euro 1200$ !
just cash possible
première ou dernière station service, suivant si l'on vient du Nord ou du sud, Diesel commun 720$ars le litre !!!
Report Check-Inpolice checkpoint here as well. Super gasoline was 540/ltr. we filled in Tunuyan for 290. This station will only accept cash but the guy will turn on the pumps if you can see him and big flat area out front police said we could stay overnight, no problem. We stayed but drove next day without getting fuel here.
Report Check-InI had to fill a little bit at this expensive station to be able to go to Chos Malal, 140km south on rn40
Super was about 60% more expensive than in Chos Malal, were you have two YPF stations.
268 ARS (€0.7-0.8) for normal diesel vs 169 in YPF. Expensive, but there is a cat to pet.
If it looks closed the guy might be in the back, so check there.
Gasstation is / was open.
Shop was open.
128 ARS for 1 Liter Euro Diesel.
20 ARS more as average.
Shop and gas station were closed, not possible to see when it is open and when closed
Report Check-Inthe gas station is open just filled up here expensive 61 arg a little for super
Report Check-InThere was someone in the shop, but the rest seemed closed, I was not able to het gas here
Report Check-InWent here on a Saturday afternoon. Pumps off, doors locked. Not clear when or if it would be open.
Report Check-In"¡Solo effectivo!" But in a pinch, there's an ATM in Barrancas. If that does not work, the attendant knows someone in town who will give you cash on your creditcard (8% surcharge, but that's exactly what he pays (he showed me on his smart phone)).
Diesel prices 15% over the price at YPF in Malargüe. If getting the minimum to keep going: note that RN 40 going North is not paved all the way and has a few ascents and descends (resulting in higher consumption).
Report Check-InAttention: cash only, no credit cards. Quite expensive. But they also offer ice and cold drinks.
Report Check-InIf you are going north this is your last chance to get gasoline. Next—>Malargüe, Mendoza
