I wish I would have read the comments here before I booked a tent site on rec. gov (And/or) read through all the rules there because tent sites are walk in and you absolutely can not sleep in your vehicle in the tent area. I lost my 20 bucks because there where no RV sites available and even though the RV parking is shared with with trailhead parking, I wasn't allowed to park in that lot. the camp host told me I could overnight at the picnic area just outside the park entrance. it was loud with the hwy noise, but mostly level and safe with trash cans and picnic tables.

RV campground is a parking lot that is essentially shared with day hikers. Tent sites are a few minute walk away. NPS enforces no camping in vehicle at tent sites! Sleeping in vehicle MUST be in RV campground

Just like described. Tent sites are exquisite. But Recreation App is useless for traveling. It never seems to work last minute traveling. Totally full campgrounds are 1/2 empty. So just show up and pick an empty spot. Stay for free at so many of the sites using that app.

Now only reservable on recreation.gov for $20 per night

Actually 2 different campgrounds. A paved lot for RV’s and a walk in area for tents. Right at a nice trailhead. The RV lot was very crowded but we managed to share a double spot with another traveler. He used our chocks to level out and we paid for the spot. A win for all.
The visitor canter was open which was a nice change of pace.

Quiet and clean. Potable water, dish washing station and clean bathrooms.

The area for anything besides a tent is a large asphalt parking area that has trailhead parking there as well. We were in site 34 which is right in the middle of everything. Water spiegot had harly no pressure, took us about 30 mins to fill our 30 gallon tank (with a pre filter). It was really nice to be at the trailhead to start right from there. $15 per night, cash only. Difficult to get change at visitors center.

Great campground with easy access to many trails. Nice bathrooms with dish washing station. First come, first serve. Drive to campground to see if there is an available spot first. If there is, mark it as reserved with a cone or something then drive back to the visitors center and get permit.

$15 a night for a tent site. Drinking water and toilets.

Fee went up to $15 a day 03/19. Pretty lame for the RV area. Just a large lot but the
location is prime. Worth noting they only take cash. no checks no credit cards.

Small first come first serve campground with about 30 sites. RV part is parallel parking, angle parking and pull through. "Rigs longer than 55' not recommended" no hookups, has flush toilets, potable water, trash cans. Dogs allowed on campground and about 1/2 mile of trail in the park. Beautiful surroundings, very windy area.

More than a parking lot, great night skies, lots and lots of stars
Stayed here in our 23'Class C RV

A lot more than a parking lot! Incredible mountains all around, toilets, washing up area & drinking water. Pit toilets only in the beautiful tent area nextdoor. $8 p n. Fast WiFi at visitor centre 1/4 mile away

Great view. Very quiet. 8$ per night per campsite. No hook-up, no dump, no faucet to fill up your water tanks. But you can fill up if you have mobile tanks.

Report Check-In

We were thinking of staying here for the night, but it’s more a parking lot than a campground (if you’re sleeping in the car). For 8.- it was not worth it.

Report Check-In

Great views and trails. Washrooms available. We arrived late at night so we didn't park in the official RV lot. Parked our small van in the quiet tenting area.
