Can see the city but no road noise and great star gazing.
It requires more clearance to get up further, but there are spits all along this road since its BLM.
We went further up the road but cell data was unreliable. Good T-Mobile coverage here though.

CAUTION road is terrible. I had to back out up a blind hill. I recommend dont do it in a van. Everyone seems to be on the south side of the interstate.
Report Check-InHonestly not a great spot in my opinion. Trash/glass everywhere, road noise, + bright lights from the gas station nearby at night. Don't take Mohave Rd to get here (we did and it was rough)... take Tom Wells Rd. Great Verizon reception.

Report Check-InMassive gravel plateau above the truck stop. No highway noise. Cooling breeze started at sunset. I had gone to the Ca border to the ‘down by the river site’- too weird and sketchy. This is a little dream spot. And there’s no way it could feel crowded. I highly recommend this as the area stop
Report Check-InMassive gravel plateau above the truck stop. Fabulous sunset, cooling breeze, peaceful, no highway noise. Only 3 other vehicles nearby by. And by near I mean @100 yards away. This is a massive space. So much better than the sketchy ‘down by the river’ spot to the west. I came back here and I’m relieved.
Report Check-InFull Verizon service. Road sucks going the back way, take the freeway and then get off to this road. You can hear the traffic, but that really doesn't bother me. Great place to view sunset and sunrise!
Report Check-InSolid dry camping spot with full cell service on Verizon. Closest neighbor was 1/4 mile down the road. Quiet yet close to pit stop w a Subway and minimart if you need supplies. Great views. We saw a baby fox at night and heard coyotes but in daylight our dogs were off leash.
