Description

Lovely place to stay for the authentic Chilean experience. 15000CLP for 4 people, a car and a tent. With hot showers, clean toilet block, fire pit, tables and a water tap. After a long stretch of road with nothing we spotted a little ‘camping’ sign.
We then met Marta and Evaristo who were the loveliest people. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, they took us to the back of their adorable finca to a large camping area for big rigs, tents and bikes. There is no wifi but you wouldn’t want it here.
In the morning Marta made us a desayuno of homemade marmalade and bread, cake with raspberries and blueberries from the garden and cafe. We took home some fresh pan, speckled eggs from her hens and fresh milk from the cows.
Breakfast for 4 people, take away cake, 8 eggs and bread was CLP5000!
The property is between two bus shelters and on the right coming from the North.
It’s a must go!

Worth the extra pesos. Very peaceful place. Good shelter, tables and fireplaces. You get to see how a Chilean family lives in this part of the world. Really good breakfast for 5.000 CLP. Marta also made dinner for us at a good price.

Report Check-In

It is 10000 CLP per person now. Expensive.

Good camping with hot shower and very good breakfast. It's in a farm where you cam see many animals. A gate avoid animals to get into the camping. They're actually building more shelters and some rooms too. Very nice people and very welcoming. Just ask for a breakfast, and you will sit down in their living room, enjoying a "campestre" breakfast with coffee, tea, home made bread, home made jam, butter, cakes, biscuits, scrambled eggs from the farm and home made cheese.
Night is 8.000clp per person and the breakfast is 5.000clp/p. We had a discount for Christmas at 3.500clp/p for the breakfast.
Highly recommended! Specially because you will face a big climb during the day (either way).

Report Check-In

8000pp gets you a flat pitch, table, hot water for showers from a wood burning boiler. Pricey for what it is, but that’s Chile for you!

Amazing family-run camping farm. If the door is closed but WITHOUT a lock it means you can open it and go inside. They have it locked to avoid the animals from running away. The camping part is run by Evaristo (son). He is a very knowledgeable person and is a very interesting person to have a conversation with. In the morning we had breakfast (Desayuno Campestre) prepared by Marta (ask her about the origin of this breakfast!). Freshly made bread with butter and homemade jam, local (or fresh, depending if they have it available or not) milk, coffee and scrambled eggs from their chickens. We really recommend it, it was amazing. She served it in the living room of their own home and invited us in as if we were family. We felt very welcomed and ended up having a several hours long conversation with her and Evaristo (father) by the warmth of the wooden furnace. Marta also spends the winter crafting wool caps and ponchos with the wool of their sheep colored using the products she forages from their own land (flowers, spices, tree bark...) which are beautiful. We ended up buying her three wool caps and leaving a generous tip, since we felt she was giving us a very cheap price for everything. We will recommend this to every person we know that decides to travel through the carretera Austral and are very thankful for having met this amazing family.
As for the camping part, it has everything you may need, hot showers, toilets, water hose and plenty of space and animals (horses, cows, a llama, sheeps, pigs with like 15 new-born that were very cute, cats and dogs), though the animals may not be there, since they are sent away to another field during the summer. There is also a very cute river spot driving less than five minutes through their property which can also be reached by walking.

This camping place is a bit like a little paradise en earth. We could park our RV there and use the hot showers and toilets - very clean. We also had diner at the owner place as well as a very nice discussion. Our 3 kids loved the river which is a 5 to 10 mn walk, the animals - pigs, goat, sheep, dogs, and baby cats.
We paid for one night and diner for 5 people 45 000 pesos.
We loved it.

This is just a fenced place with toilets and shelter, to keep the pigs out. Will need some more work and care from the owners to be as good as anybody says.

Excelente lugar !

we paid 8'000 clp per person and you can have breakfast for another 3'500clp. The place was ok, but a little to expensive for what you get. the shower needs to be headed up by the owner with a wood stove so that takes about 1 hours (we didnt know and had a cold shower) There is a lot of animal poop on the camping area but there is a good covered place under a shelter with chairs and even a possibility for a fire. there is wifi in front of the house of the owner. we had a calm nice night there and the breakfast was really good.

The place is really beautiful and calm. Lots of animals, Mountains, the River close by.

Beautiful campsite and lovely hosts. The breakfast is all homemade and delicious. This is a farm campsite with fantastic views. The area for camping is fenced off, so you won’t get disturbed by the animals. The bathrooms are clean and there are hot showers too. Highly recommended.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the gate is closed, do open it and walk down to the farm house. It’s just closed to keep the animals in.

Coole Location umgeben von Bergen. Frühstückservice wer möchte mit selbstgemachten Brötchen, Marmelade, Käse, Rührei.
WLAN stockt, Dusche warm ja.
Überdachter Zeltplatz für 3-4 Zelte. Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien. Echt eine super Adresse. Für 8000 pesos jedoch etwas teuer im Vergleich.

Camping for 6000. sheltered spot for 2/3 tents. Marta the host was very lovely ! breakfast was 3500. other person who stayed also said Marta made him dinner for a good price.

Report Check-In

Excellent views. Camping was 6,000 CLP pp and breakfast was 3,000 CLP pp. Great stay except for the poop everywhere but I guess that has to be expected for staying on a farm.

Report Check-In

Nice place, a little messy with the construction which is going on. Simply fire the oven and you can enjoy a nice hot shower. Some outside tables and a shelter for tents. 15000 for three persons, a tent and a camper. Good place to stay.

Splendid. We loved this place.

It does have hot showers, but need to wait till it warms up with wood. Owners are super helpful. In the morning we went for breakfast in their house. Excellent experience.

The hut house is finished. We were in a camper van, but guys with tents in the morning were boasting how they had good time in the warm hut with fire.

Camper and breakfast was 20k. Best value so far. Views are excellent.

One of our very best stays so far! The family is so welcoming and we had a very quiet sleep after enjoying the gorgeous surroundings. They do have hot showers now, it is wood fired so takes about an hour to get all ready. We had more than enough hot water for 2 people. We stayed in a camper van, there are flat spaces to park. This would also be a great place for cyclists as they have a covered shelter and are working on an indoor cooking area and indoor bunkhouse. We enjoyed an absolutely delicious breakfast of homemade bread, jam, honey, and eggs. We also ordered a raspberry tart and bread to take away. Camping was 5,000 Clp pp and two breakfasts, raspberry tart and bag of bread was 12,000 total. You will not regret staying here!

These two amazing guests are yet upgrading the camping. The experience is nevertheless worth the stop. They propose hot showers that work with old wood fire and correct bathroom. But what this place is worth your visit are the amazing local breakfast and the discussions and stories with the owners about how the lived 60 years ago. Also the vast land they own that you can discover and the view on a glacier.

Very friendly people. Toilets at the camping were not very clean and there was no hot water. They allowed us to take a shower in their own bathroom. A bit wierd and also not very hot water but very kind. Breakfast was amazing and definitely recommended. 5000 per person for camping, 3000 per person for breakfast. They also provide dinner

Report Check-In

Lovely place to rest. Surrounded by mountains. And night sky with stars.

Report Check-In

Located very nice behind the farm.
Enough covered spaces, to make up the tent dry.
Very friendly and helpful owners.
Marta also offers Dinner and Breakfast at very reasonable price. A good option, if you arrive late or just want to eat at a warm and dry place.
Breakfast with homemade butter and jam, eggs from the farm ... mmmm, yummy!

Report Check-In

A farm camosite in a nice setting. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. It's a warming experience to sit in their home and have breakfast with them. New shower block that appeared to be very close to providing hot showers. Recommended

The other review say it all. A traditional farm/ex farm with camping for couples/individuals near the house and a campground behind it with hot shower and toilets that was being used for vans/ group at the time of our stay . Offered tea/coffee and eggs on arrival and breakfast in the morning in their kitchen, next to the warm stove - a bonus after a freezing and wet ride over from Queulat. Feels quite remote and beautiful, just on the river plain below the mountains which adds to the atmosphere.

Report Check-In

Lovely place to spend the night, hot shower, the grass is like a mattress, you can set a campfire, good bread and eggs! If you’re going north to south you should stop in here instead of the next village! TOTALLY RECOMMEND

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Nice place for camping with a stunning view at the mountains. No hot shower and Wifi during my stay, but expect a lovely family inviting you to their house to talk or just charge your phone. 4000 clp pp for one night and another 3000 clp for a good breakfast (matching the demands of a always hungry cyclist) if requested. A more basic, natural place to spend a night, feeling cut off from civilization. Highly recommended!

Report Check-In

we stopped by. thus place seemed a bit dumpy with lots if broken cars, etc. they offered us 15,000 for our van with 2 adults and 2 kids but with cold shower. might be a nice view in the sunshine but it didn't seem like our kind of place.

We spent one night at this camping with our car with a roof om top. It’s a beautiful spot with a great view and plenty of wind shelter. The owners were very welcoming, the nicest people. There is a rain shelter, campfire and very new toilet and shower facilities. Unfortunately there wasnt hot water when we stayed here. We paid 12.000 clp for 4 people.
