Huge area with lots of wild camping options, right at the river on graveled parking or under big trees on grass (we stayed in the shade of the trees, the grass was dry). You see big ships passing the locks.
Sign says no swimming/diving/boating

Report Check-InGreat place to park, you’ll never be right tight against another camper because it’s that huge! However beware of the wind in the winter time, it just funnels right through and you’ll wake up extra cold!
Second time we are here and still love it, great view of Montreal and quite peaceful even if there is a few of us, enjoy
Report Check-Ingreat place! just as others have described. only downside is the rough road and potholes. stayed the night, slept well. would stay here again if in the area.
Report Check-InNice place as described by others. Note that you must approach the gate from the east on Highway 132. Also note that the parking lot has huge potholes; the informal road to the left is much smoother when dry.
Report Check-InAbsolutely beautiful, lots of parking either on the gravel road of on the grassy feild. Right beside the St. Lawrence river lock system, so ship watching is a must see. NO swimming due to extream currents from the river and the hydro dam.
If using this spot please be respectful and leave it better then you found it. lets keep spots like this available for future use.
Great spot to spend the day, evening ae even the night. Real close to the river plenty of space to camp in a tent or stay in a RV or car. Quiet and calm except for the big boats that pass close and hunk their horns but even that my partner and I enjoyed 😉.
Report Check-InGreat spot! I got there around 2am and there had to be about 50 other people there, all spread out. Woke up to a massive ship going by in the morning.
Report Check-InHuge free space for all types of vehicles. From car campers to big rigs, it’s all welcome here. Great spot for boat watching, fishing. Several rock fire rings along the shore line. Mostly quiet, a few distant sounds from the hydro-electric plant & passing planes overhead. Take your time driving in & out, major rutted & uneven dirt paths…saw more than one compact sedan make it with a few bottom outs that were solved by slowing down. This place is a gift! Please treat it well. Pack in / pack out. Leave no trace.
Report Check-InGreat park, saw 2 massive boats. Can camp pretty much anywhere you want. Grass is safe to drive on, locals do it all the time. Tons of spaces for campfires with various fire pits along the water. Was a bit windy though and you’ll hear the chug off a ship of two. Great place to camp. Didn’t see any no parking signs. Check out 610Kamper on YouTube to see how a giant camps in his truck!
Report Check-InLarge area! Plenty of space for several RVs. Even a campfire pit at the end of the jetty. Last night out before mandatory curfew (Covid). A bit noisy from cars, planes (till midnight or so) and 3 large ships passing by in the channel. Otherwise good spot for winter camping!
Report Check-InBeautiful beside the water very quiet a lot of campers and vans stay here over night
Woke to a beautiful sunrise
As described by others. Windy so we parked next to the line of trees at the top of the park near the water. Watched a freighter go into the locks.
Report Check-Inthe road is rough with ruts. some smaller dirt paths through the grass that are better. the spot is beautiful in the morning and well worth it. we did see 2 skunks so be mindful especially if you have dogs. the 3 or so trash cans are located at the very front, please use them. there is a lot of trash just laying around unfortunately.
Report Check-InWe had a beautiful night’s sleep here and woke up to a gorgeous view of the sunrise over the water. There were a few other vehicles around and everyone was very quiet. Great spot outside of Montreal.
great spot to spend the night very quite and nice breeze off the water. lots of places to park.
Report Check-InBeautiful place to camp. Many spots available on a long length of a gravel parking lot.
Report Check-InGreat place, LOTS of space. Right by Lake Saint-Louis and Beauharnois Locks. PLEASE READ : we were told by grounds keeper NOT TO SETUP ON GRASS. Just respect seting up on dirt way so Hydro-Quebec won't close the place for campers.
Report Check-Inas written, beautiful. some people are having a covid party right now 😬🤷🏼♀️..
Report Check-InHuge open space with grass and gravel route. Few fire pit near water. many campers and rv on site. Nice place to be. I'll definitely come back ! no services at all
Report Check-InAmazing spot! This was my first van trip ever and I’m so glad I got to discover this hidden gem!
Report Check-InVery nice place considering how close to the city it is. Great fun watching freight ships passing by so closely. Great views, a little bit of privacy in the tree line, lots of room for people in the field. There is a rail preventing vehicles from getting right into the trees, but you can tent in them or park alongside the rail.
Report Check-InHuge grass and parking area. Room for hundreds of campers. Great spot! No one bothered us throughout the night. I'd definitely stay here again
Report Check-Intotally recommended! open, free and a lot to see (all kind of ships and animals). near the city so very convinient. was very quiet during the night.
Report Check-InNice and quiet place to spend the night. On the other side of a small barrier there are lots of tent sites tucked into the woods.
Report Check-Invery nice place. we stayed a couple of days. ships are impressive if you park near the fence. we saw lots of marmots
Report Check-InHuge grassy area, surrounded by water. Magnificient sunset and sunrise. Could spend weeks there.
Report Check-Inhave to leave. it's too bad I was all settled in.
Roudyy teenagers came.
Feels un safe.
lots of cars passing and people letting their dogs roam about.
seems ok did see a big ship pass by.
it's ok for.the night
Excellent spot. Trees for shades. Plenty of room. Quiet althought boats makes some noise when they pass through. Major potholes, as mentioned. Go slow. Many people fishing during the day.
Be aware; no bathrooms, no picnic tables, you are parked on the side of the gravel road.
Will go again.
Report Check-Inhuge park. Major potholes on road. wonderful to watch ships go into canal.
Report Check-InNice big wild Camping spot by the river. Great place to spend the day and night.
Report Check-InHuge area. Fairly uneven trails if you have a low car. Lots of teenagers passing by and doing doughnuts in the grass, also many skunks this time of year (I saw 6).
Regardless still great area, water looked nice and had an excellent sunrise.
Stay on the east side if you have a choice.
Report Check-InExactly as described, quite, massive area, able to watch ships pass through canal. Security did pass by but no problems. Worth it.
Report Check-InVery large grassy peninsula with room for hundreds. More garbage than I’d like, but it’s convenient.
Report Check-InPlace was good. Bad weather not as many good spots. Since the grass gets really muddy. Besides that lots of cars coming and going with teenagers in them, but everything very quiet and there is enough space. We saw a guy with his big camping trailer and generator there so I guess big rig friendly.
Report Check-InHuge area with lots of wild camping options, right at the river on graveled parking or under big trees on gras (we stayed in the shade of the trees, the gras was dry) You see big ships passing the locks.
