This spot is off the road a bit and down by a branch of the river. It is in partial view of a dirt road, but pretty quiet. Drive down the side road by the cattle ramp.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Currently there is an animal dead in the bushes or something - smells horrible. Maybe next year! In any case, the "River Side Camp" 10 more minutes down the road is 10000% better of a campspot. Go there, you will not regret it.
Report Check-InDon't go here if it is raining, the whole place gets flooded, muddy and slippery.
Report Check-InLovely place for a night! A group of younger people/siblings (ranging in age) were here when we arrived in the late afternoon, but we waited for them to leave and took their place a couple of hours before sunset. It’s a little swimming hole and grass patch to enjoy! We had some curious goats who visited us and a local couple came down to look out at the river, too. Other than this, it was a quiet night. We picked up quite a few cans and candy wrappers. Pack in & pack out! It’s a great spot for a night or two. Enjoy!
Report Check-InLooked like a nice place but really only space for one big rig, and we are only 7.4m long. When we arrived, there was a local already parked in the middle of the space and there was no room for us to park let alone turn around, we had to back out. Word of advice for other big rigs, walk in and check for other vehicles before driving in.
Report Check-InReally nice place. Definitely recommend.
It’s place for 3 vans or a few tents. When the weather would be better - I would stay longer.
what a beautiful quiet spot on the arm of the rio palena. take gravel road along river and drive for about 7 min until another smaller gravel road turns to your right passing a small cattle ramp. its not a big spot but a couple of nice places for tents and/or cars. PLEASE dont leave rubbish!!! as this place is used by cattle/goats for grasing!!! We only got a visit from a landowner nearby in the morning but he didnt say anything about camping there, just general chitchat!
Report Check-InJust beside the road there is a smal road that leeds to the river! Spot is big enough for our Jimmy with rooftent!
