Something not right?

Description

OK campsite. Good views, hot showers all the day. Sneaked in to site by car park. Vehicles cannot go further in. 15.000 pesos pp.

It seems that only a few places are available on line, and many other when you go to Fantastico Sur office in Puerto Natales some day before. However, if you arrive on bike they make room for you no problem at all.

You can access to the restaurant of the lodge 200m from here.
Very small shop, only crackers, pasta (5.000 pesos..), biscuits, ...

Site merveilleux mais il daut réserver ou avoir 1 van et dormir sur le parking

Report Check-In

Good toilets and bathrooms. If you go in the back entrance they don’t come round to check if you’ve paid or not.

Report Check-In

WARNING! One of the employees stole my walking sticks in the middle of the day after I forgot them at the check-in. They were half destroyed, something was cut off… Long story, the employee even admit it, so everything was clear - nothing happened, not even a little compensation for first stolen and in the end destroyed walking sticks that I got back.
Don‘t ever leave stuff somewhere, it was a big big coincidence that I got them back - only because the guy was so „smart“ to run around with them when we were still at the campsite..

Report Check-In

Didn’t stay here but the team let us use their showers in exchange for tips! They were great, hot showers. Well worth it after a days hiking and staying in nearby car park.

Report Check-In

Pas d acces pour les motor homes. Reserve aux tentes

Report Check-In

managed to do the sunrise hike to the towers here, left around 3:45am, took just over 2.5 hours fast pace.

Report Check-In

Camped here with a tent. we reserved and paid online although all the camps on the W trail are cheaper if you pay there and not online. Basic showers, not the best of the W trail.

Report Check-In

Apenas tomamos banho e pagamos 2500pp. chuveiros muito bons.

Report Check-In

We arrived without reservation so the guy at the gate phoned to the reseption and we' ve got the good to come in. The costs are quite high. 25000 clp/p/n for only a parkinglot. But no Wind and Vers quiet.

Report Check-In

Great views from the camp on torres especially if you pitch your tent a bit further away from the reception. Also you can cook on tables scattered around, so you are not forced to cook in kitchen area.
We did the W and thought this camp was in total the best, even though there are by far not enough showers.

Day Hike from there to torres is about 8h.

Report Check-In

staff friendly. you can pitch your tent where you want.
toilets are modern and clean
the showers are clean too with hot water (were the best of the all we tried in the camping W trail). they are opened from 5:00 PM to 00:00 PM.
we had a diner included in our reservation and all was very tasty. staff Friendly. there s a bar if you want to celebrate the begin or end of your trail :). be careful as the last meal service is 8:00 PM. you have to go to the refuge to eat it s not in the camping

Report Check-In

If you want a good night’s sleep, forget about this place. Over 100 tents and people even in pandemic, no control or social distancing, people partying and kids screaming past midnight. Campervans have to stay in the parking lot and people are just super inconsiderate, and the staff completely don’t care...lots of people entering late at night to bypass the fees as well so you will often hear cars coming and going. Extremely overpriced for this really crappy camping experience...

Report Check-In

I thought i had to reserve this in town and couldn’t pay on arrival (bad info from someone who had just been to the park)

Do not pay in town at Fantasico Sur office!! They charge 21,500 if you are alone (14,000/person if 2 or more) whereas it’s only 15,000 to pay at the campsite. Dickheads

You could probably also just pitch a tent and never check in with reception, they didn’t seem to monitor anything.

Bring your own hand soap peeps, they don’t provide it. The majority of people here are flying into Santiago and coming straight to TDP, could be bad news if the virus makes it’s way with those travelers. we need to be diligently washing our hands right now, especially in regards to using public bathrooms and before food prep/eating.

Report Check-In

ce camping est une honte pour le parc national Torres del Paine. les toilettes (sol, mur, portes ) sont sales et insuffisantes. Seule la machine à carte bancaire pour payer fonctionne parfaitement !

Report Check-In

We had a top roof tent, so we had to stay at the parking lot. Hot water showers. Clean bathrooms at time we needed to use them.

Report Check-In

camping mais para barracas carros e motorhome ficam no estacionamento, pagamos 21 pesos chilenos por uma noite, bom banheiro.

Report Check-In

Overpriced camping site (as all other Fantastico Sur ones!) Toilets and showers are very dirty as well as dishes facilities. We paid for breakfast in the Refugio Central and it was nice. Only positive thing is that you can pitch your tent in a good spot to have direct views to las Torres del Paine.

Report Check-In

Very easy to bike up and get a tent spot. Yes it’s 15,000pp for an average campsite, but what can you do 🤷🏻‍♀️
Use the showers in the bar/refugio as they are nice and with good soap.

Report Check-In

Too expensive for what you can expect for such price. ok with previous comment.

Report Check-In

At $20USD this site is horrendously over priced compared to the Vertice sites. Only facilities are a tiny tent to cook in, toilets and showers which are at least hot and open all day. The selling point is the location.

Report Check-In

It's now 15.000$. very expensive for what it is. it's large enough to go there spontaneously. hot showers. the kitchen area is a tent without door so wind gets in easily. it can be room for only 6 people. there are benches outside. but when the weather is bad or windy it's hard to cook. view to Torres Del Paine.

Report Check-In

The Torre Central Campsite is operated by the company Fantastico Sur and open entire the year.

Report Check-In

The camping charges $10.000 CLP per person (with Chilean ID) to use the parking lot and the bathroom (nice hot shower). The camping office have a little but expensive grosery store if you need something to buy.

Report Check-In

Stayed here twice while trekking in Torres. They will let you camp without reservations just tell the guy at the gate you have one.
They let me park my bike at the personal house and took in my panniers at the Refugio northe while I was trekking the O.
Price is now 13000 pr. Person pr. Night

Report Check-In

Campers have to stay at the parking lot. 11000 pp. Overpriced, no water pressure in the showers.

Report Check-In

10.000clp/p
showers not working here, only in 300m far.
Great view, near startrek (start of trekking kkkk). goods Wind covers.

Report Check-In

This is now gated with access allowed only with reservation. Still 10,000clp/pp. No vehicle access to sites however there are a few vehicle accessible spots on the right before the small carpark. There is some confusion here as to naming - this is known as 'Torres Central'. Showers are cold however you can use the facilities in the refugio 200 metres down the road (also has a bar).

Report Check-In

We parked our van and slept here for free, including the use of bathroom facilities. Nobody official questioned us. Showers are good and hot.

Report Check-In

The increase their price!!! 10000 $/p just crazy price !! For just a piece of grass near the camping and a hot shower ... We Tried another solution !

Report Check-In

Free because all the amenities are close for the low season. Basically just a piece of land with good protection against the wind (in some places). Good for one night.

Report Check-In

Here in late April and the AMA campground is closed. Surprisingly, hot showers still work!!! Great after finishing W-trek.

Report Check-In

Sorry, forgot to mention we paid 7500 pesos per person.

Report Check-In

We camped here for two nights. Definitely overpriced. Hot showers were not working while we were there. Some expensive food provisions available at the store. If you are camping near the parking lot make sure to secure your rig. Some friends of ours on motorcycles had some tools stolen and we heard someone try to open the doors of our truck in the night. They then left via vehicle from the parking lot.

Report Check-In

Tip. Just after the wooden auto bridge we parked near the AMA camp bathroom facility and used their bathrooms and hot showers para gratis. Short way to the koisco which has ice cream and beer. Parked in the actual hotel parking lot for a few days of trekking with no problems

Report Check-In

OK campsite. Good views, hot showers at certain times of the day. Sneaked in to site by car park. Vehicles cannot go further in. 8500 pesos pp.
