Beautiful oase in this arid landscape. In the lovely garden with plenty of shade you can just enjoy a drink or meal, like we did before heading to the Hoanib River.
There is a swimming pool ‘only for indoor guests’. Very friendly place!

Strange place. The camp site has been handed over to the community and is very run down but the hotel will accommodate campers and provide a room for shower. However, if you want to stay in a room it is 1800 N$ pppn ! Camping is still 150pppn. Not a lot in the village but there is fuel - cash only.. No ATM. We started on the road to Purros but turned back due to the state of the road- corrugated and very bumpy. The elusive Elephants are reported to be beyond the turning for Elephant Song Camp, 18k 4x4 plus another 10K or so. Track is soft sand and deep ruts in places. Possible lions as well.
Report Check-InVery friendly. We are on bicycles and they let us stay camping behind the lodge. Shady place under trees. Can use shower and toilet of one of the rooms. Could also use the pool. 150 pp.
