Boulder River | Wild Camping

Found a stop right across from the toilet. It was big enough for my crosstrek and more. I had a lot of space and it was right by the river. I only stayed for 2 days but I enjoyed the peace and quiet. I didn’t mind the few cars driving by.

There are plenty of spots along this road. So don't be afraid to keep driving southwest if there are too many cars at these first spots.

Secluded road with multiple different pull outs, alongside a river. The view was amazing. Only stayed one night but would absolutely stay again, limit of camping to 14 days. Road was a little bumpy but nothing too bad!

Cool spot right along the river, 4 or 5 established camp spots with a pit toilet and several other smaller pull-offs before and after. Road was good, sites were clean. I got a nail in my tire, but hopefully that's a singular event. I had no service with T-mobile.

Gravel road in good condition, so passable by anything. Lots of pull offs with fairly level spots. Very quite road this time of year. 3 bars of Verizon.

Came in on a Friday night and the 4 sites were occupied. We found enough room to pitch our two tents 1/4 mile past the campsites. We had a quiet night with no vehicles passing by.

Limited number of sites along the river (mostly tent sites) and a few level ones along the road for vehicle dwellers. Arrived on a summer's Friday afternoon and had a choice of spots. Signage limits stay to 14 days. Vault toilet available.

Very nice and quite campsite. Where we were there was no trash. A pullout spot that fit my truck fine with room to spare then a little walk way to the fire ring and there was a river very near by. Tons of pot holes, but very manageable. There is a pit toilet and great cell service.

This place is great. I’m here on a weekday and there’s very few people here. Mostly people who pretty much live at campgrounds are here. It’s quite and I feel safe. Also, Just to comment about the road. I drive a front wheel drive minivan and had no issues on the road. There are potholes and a few of them are a little rough. You’ll be fine as long as you drive slowly.

The road in wasn’t too bad. We have a camper van with high clearance and had no problem. Good Verizon and nobody else is here. It’s beautiful!

This place is quiet and very pretty, but has some of the largest potholes we’ve ever seen. Not an exaggeration- I’m talking potholes the width of the entire road. We did it very carefully in a low clearance SUV but only because it was late and we didn’t feel like driving anywhere else. I really wouldn’t recommend unless you’ve got a high clearance vehicle, and definitely not for any big rigs. If you need further proof, look up reviews for the Boulder River Trailhead.

Some great little spots along both sides of the road. Quite peaceful just make sure to get here earlier in the day on weekends if you want to be on the river side of the road.

Dirty road for 1 mile. Very quiet, we stayed here for one night with our 22 feets RV.

Also great Verizon service here. Mainly set up for ground tent camping and parking is along the road.
