We stayed here without problem two nights to surf the beautiful playa guiones. Easy surf all day and more difficult morning and evening. At sunset it's perfect. Very quiet at night we were alone. The day there are many people and they arrive early.
Report Check-InStayed here for one night. It gets very crowded here in the am and the sunset because beach parking and at night we were up all night because motorcycles kept driving in and out but it felt safe and a good spot if you need a night to sleep
Report Check-InThe name of the beach is not Playa Galardonada (which mean beach with an award for cleanliness) but Playa Guiones.
We live there, so we know ;0)
Spent two nights and two and a half days here.
Payed the volunteer parking guy tips for him to keep an eye on the van while we were in town or at the beach. Felt safe enough at night, a few people came through late but in general after dark you have the place to yourself.
The volunteer parking guy asked if we had break resistant glass, which we didn't. He advised we'd be better off here if we did, so take that into account!
Report Check-InWe spend the day here and it’s nice and shaded. We moved for spending the night to the other side, next to the other entrance to the beach, by “Norte nosara” hotel. Closer to the centre and more “crowded” (wasn’t really a big amount of ppl) we felt it was going to be safer in case we left for a few hours. We stayed 3 nights, super safe, people are really nice and the beach is great.
Report Check-InSlept here two nights. Tips based security during the day. Nothing at night. Felt comfortable leaving car during the day given the security and the heavy traffic. Wouldn’t leave it alone at night but felt very safe sleeping here.
Report Check-InWe spent a night here. It was super chill. The police came by twice in the night and I spoke to them the first time. They said it was ok to stay there and that it was safe. The only thing to worry about is petty theft. It was a fairly nice spot right on the beach. no amenities though but also close to town.
Report Check-InStayed 1 night. FREE beach lot. Quiet and close to restaurants and shops in town. No facilities besides a trash can.
Report Check-InNo pasamos la noche pero el pueblo es hermoso!!!! Muy recomendado!!
