Just beautiful ! We arrived at 18:30 and no one was there. Very quiet. They say you're not allowed to park in the canyon but we do anyway. We just drove 50 meters in to be hidden from the road and protected from the wind. It was perfect. There are bins on site.

we drove till the end, road perfect state, flat area, no much wind for us, quiet.
We only drove a few meters into the canyon (check the map at the entrance, it indicates how far you are allowed to drive). Perfectly quiet, very little traffic on the RN60 during the night, clean, trash bin available. Big rigs might prefer parking at the RN60. The only downside: a lot of biting insects.
