Latest Check-Ins

Entrance currently correct in T4A but too late in OSM. Nice campground with reasonable ablutions and wildlife (zebras) on site at night. Late arrivals may be difficult when no other guests are around. It felt a bit scary in complete darkness when you don’t see the lake and the picturesque surrounding. Anyway, we were welcome by a motivated guard and care-taker and loved it. 16 USD ppn including entrance to the bird park.

Lovely campsite not far out of busy Harare. Convenient on the Harare/Bulawayo road. Large grassy area. Lots of shade. New ablution block which is clean and lots of hot water. Big rig friendly.
Bar and restaurant.
Friendly and helpful owners Gary and his son Joshua.
The lake is beautiful.
Highly recommend.

Kuimba Shiri Bird Park Campsite is a great place to be. The campsite on a gras field overlooking the Lake Chivero.
The ablution is under construction and will be finished by end of November. The owners Gerry, his son Gosh are great gentlemen, helpful and friendly. Since credit cards don't work, visitors are adviced to bring cash along. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. The place is only 40k away from Harare and the best place by far to spend a couple nights.
Rates as following, entry to the beautiful bird sanctuary $6pp, camping $10pp.

Campsite still available. Ablutions are not good at the moment (no hot water, low water pressure, no electricity), but they are renovating. Quiet spot, close to Harare. Owners are very nice and helpful.
