Absolutely gorgeous camp. We think it is the best in the park, sunset on the cliffs is beautiful. Elephants all around and the sound of hippos all night
Report Check-InGorgeous Bush camp above the river. Spectacular cliff views. Long drop toilet only. We were surrounded by lions roaring and leopards coughing and elephants trumpeting at night, what an incredible experience.
Report Check-InAll as previously said. Note the price for Exclusive Campsites such as this one for internationals is 180 USD per site per night for up to 6 people OR 30 USD per person per night if you show up at the gate and the campsite is available. The site can accommodate up to 12 people and 4 cars maximum. Other exclusive campsites with same price are: Directors, Chilojo 1 and 2, Hlaro, Chitove, Machaniwa and Chamulavati. The so called "Developed Campsites" which have ablutions and more facilities are cheaper. No Econet network at all in this area.
Report Check-InThis was one of the best places we’ve stayed in Africa. The bush camp overlooks the river and the stunning sandstone cliffs. You’re totally secluded, we were at least 20km from the nearest person.
We had plenty of game in and around the camp including a herd of curious elephants in the night.
Good, clean pit toilet and as previously written there is no water so BYO.
It’s roughly 40km from Chipanda pools which took us 2-3 hours.
Nice basic camp with great view to the Chilojo cliffs they’re especially beautiful in the evening at sunset. Only pit toilet nothing more but great nature. Quit expensive. We were the only camping in the hole park.
Report Check-InOne of two sites next to each other looking across the Runde River towards the Chilojo Cliffs. Big shady trees and level ground. The site can be a bit windy so be prepared to tie your tent and equipment down. Lots of game in and around camp. Small fire pit and a pit toilet. Camp costs USD90.00 per night plus vehicle and park fees of about USD10.00.
Report Check-InVery picturesque site with good game viewing in the river bed below the cliffs. Two wild dogs walked right through our camp at 6:00 in the evening.
Be prepared for wind if you stay here - it can blow relentlessly!
Everything line said. If you book in advance, you pay around double, than if you just go there and ask. Payed 30 US pppn for camping.
