The germans Thomas and Katrin run a little hospedaje and offer camping as well. To camp you can eather stay in a spot at the hostel or on a very beautiful piece of land at the river 2km east towards Puerto Rio Tranquilo (no facilities). They also offer meals for lunch and dinner. To the mirador of the glacier it's another 8km west. We paid 1'000 pesos per person (plus 1'500 pesos for the shower).

We had lunch here, so cannot speak of the camping. It might have been a bad day, but the whole setup seems a little weird here. We got seated in their private living room which was crammed to the limit with all sorts of stuff. The food was very simple and bad, yet cost 9500 pp. We got told multiple times that this is a bad day. But then the better option would have been not to offer any food at all. Cannot recommend for meals.Report Check-In
Very nice place, calm and close to the Exploradores Park. We paid 36000 pesos for a double private room with shared bathroom. Dinner was pretty good (for sure the best salmon I ever had!)Report Check-In
We stayed here for one night in a doble with shared bathroom. Really really nice room. We paied 22000 for two without shower and without breakfast. With shower and breakfast it costs 36000. It's also possible to sleep in your camper or car. With shower/toilets it costs 4500 pp.
You can use shelters for cooking. They do not have an official camping, so it's not allowed to put your tent on the ground (but if you ask, they would give you the key for a place 2km away from the house).
Cool place to stay
Very quiet location. We stayed in the cabana (a shed), paid 2.000 CLP per person for a hot shower and 1.400 CLP for a small glass of beer. The pricing structure seemed a bit random - in the end we paid 18.800 CLP for 2 to stay in a shed with our own sleeping bags... Thomas was a very nice and gentle host and it was very interesting to meet Kathrin too.Report Check-In
Camped in the lot across the street. Thomas was a welcoming and gracious host. We paid 1000 pesos per adult to camp in our van (no charge for our 6 yr old). We also took nice hot (& clean) showers for 1500 pesos each.Report Check-In
3,000 per person to tent camp. 1000 to park across the gravel road if you have a big rig. 1500 per person for showers. 12000 per person with breakfast in low season to stay in the bed and breakfast. No mention of the other property to camp at. Have to pack out all non-food garbage. Open hut to cook in, no furniture. We probably wouldn't have stayed here if it hadn't been raining.Report Check-In
