Guinea -> CDI

Very friendly officers. Tried some Palm Wine.
Easy quick stamp for CdP.
Asked about Vignette Touristique, still the same, get it in Danane

Report Check-In

Easy CDP stamp into CI. 2 minutes done - officer is friendly and familiar with CDP.

Report Check-In

Here they seal the CdP. If you don't have it, they tell you where to go in the city of Danané to get the Vignette Turistique (passavant). Very kind.

Report Check-In

Easy if you have a CPD or ATA, not easy if like us you don’t have one of them and need a « vignette touristique » which is the same as a passavant. The law says you can have it as a foreigner, free for two months. But it’s not so easy to have it. The douane will tell you to go to Danané to have it, I have put the localisation and information directly there :) good luck !

Report Check-In

French travelers. We stamped our CPD and showed the laissez passer.
The road is brand new!!!
Friendly staff.

Report Check-In

From Guinea to Ivory Coast. Very long process. We finally succeed to leave until the night. Actually, you absolutely need a "laisser passer" and they take a lot of photos of passeports, visas and our car !
Very long process

Report Check-In

Road is a bit complicated from border to here during wetseason and road construction.
Very friendly custom officer, stamp in my CPD without ask anything, only best wishes.

Report Check-In

No problems, they phoned ahead and had to go to Man for TIP.

Report Check-In

Stamped my carnet ata with no problem. No request for Tourist Vignette.

Report Check-In

Came into Cote d’Ivoire here. They tried to make us pay for an escort to go and buy the vignette in Man. We refused and went to Man ourselves. I have marked The douane in Man on this app. Don’t take the escort and don’t pay anything at the border!
The road to Dalabé is being improved, the Chinese are preparing it for asphalt.

Report Check-In

Stamp Carnet here. Not at border. No Money required.

sorry. Correction. I checked out of Guinea here. Very friendly and easy. I found it a nice border post to cross into Guinea

Report Check-In

The officer wanted to make us buy a vignette touristique.
We said we didn’t need it as we have a laissez-passer from the embassy. Took 3 hours of talking and sitting doing nothing until he finally stamped the document.
Think we scared him when se showed him the app and that we could report him somehow.

Also confirming the last post: the road is indeed bad up to Danané and some bridges are tricky.

Report Check-In

Coming from Nzérékoré, Guinea to Man, Côte d’Ivoire, the road starts with good (EU sponsored) tarmac. After the town Lola, where the road splits to Liberia, it’s under construction by a Chinese engineering company. Though unpaved, it’s still pretty good but dusty. From the border of Côte d’Ivoire untill Danané, the road is very bad indeed.

Coming from ivoryvoast (very very very bad road!) Bureau des Douanes
