Cluster of trees on the river just North of town. East side has a gravel pullout and picnic table near water. West side approach off gravel road and dirt 2-track to more privacy amongst trees, under foot bridge. Locals do like to hang out and picnic here, but gave no trouble.

Not the cleanest place, there is a lot of animal excrements around but it's okay for a night as there's not much choice on this section of ruta 40.
The river looks surprisingly clean but we didn't use the water.

Very good place to spend a night and have a good coffee. Coming from the south needs to pass the bridge and get left returning. It is clean and with little waste. There is the possibility of putting the car in silent place and fully protected by the wind. It has fire structure and dining tables. It has a river that can have non-drinking water.
Lugar Muito Bom Para Passar uma Noite e tomar um bom café. Vindo do Sul precisa passar a ponte e entrar a esquerda voltando. Está limpo e com pouco resíduos. Existe a possibilidade de colocar o carro em lugar silencioso e totalmente protegido pelo vento. Tem estrutura para fogo e mesas para refeições. Tem um rio que pode ter água não potável.

Cuando llegamos había dos autos de personas del lugar, pero se fueron antes de la tardecita.
Espacio verde y mesitas de concreto. Lugar para hacer fuego.
great place! concrete tables next to the numerous fire pits under lovely green trees. water available from the steam nearby. there were bins for your rubbish, please use them!
Report Check-InBueno para la noche, mucho viento y algunos árboles para protegerse, fogones y leña disponible, nosotros limpiamos el lugar antes de acampar , por favor llevarse la basura (el papel higiénico también es basura), acampamos en el lado sur occidente.

it is pretty big, we stayed on the southside of the bridge, but you can also go to the north side.... depends on the wind ;)
Great place for one night, but noisy with the bridge... Bins, Firepit. No wind for us.
Report Check-InNice place for a picnic or an overnight stay. Not so far away from the road, but nice grassy spot with trees and a small stream. A green welcome if you come from the dry east coast!
