Description

Campground on hillside outside Windhoek (about 15km). Pitches have covered area, electricity and braai. A small swimming pool. Shared facilities. It is a pleasant, garden spot with lots of trees and shrubs. Plenty of birdlife in the garden plus camp animals such as rabbits, doves and peacocks! A good place to stop if you don't want to be in the city, although there is a bit of noise from traffic, airport and the peacock!

Enjoyed my stay - all is working, very clean, nice views into the valley, very spacious campsite.
Good value money - esp considering urban camp in town is now charging 280 N$ pppn.
Would come back any time. It’s just 12 km to the grove mall and southern industrial area.

like the others wrote, nice place but you hear the nearby road, but because of this you are in Windhoek very quick. 160 N$ p.P

We had such a beautiful stay at this campingground in the mountains for 3 nights. The owners are wonderful people, always helpful if you need something. You will have a peaceful and calme stay. Just have to bring your groceries and there are lots of possibilities for grilling it. If you need wood, just ask the owners. In the mornings or evenings you can watch Monkeys, Kudus, Oryx or Impalas when you are lucky. You can find all the love of the owners in the garden of the campingground. We very recommend this place. Also for big trucks as we are (7m length, 3,2m hight) and to do some errands or repairs in the nearby town Windhuk.

Beautiful campground not far from Windhoek. We paid 150pppn. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Owners are incredibly nice and helpful. Even a pool available.

Would definitely recommend this place!

Arrived here by bicycle. Vanessa the owner surprised me with a whole apartment with kitchen and beautiful bathroom for only 450 Namibian Dollar.
I felt very welcome and enjoyed the stay.

Pleasant site, clean ablutions, grassy area to sit, braai, not noticed road noise at all, site was not busy. Too cold for pool but nice. I couldn't fault it, except for the list of do's and don't's and I imagine a no noise after 21.00 is a challenge in summer!!!

Report Check-In

NOT big rig friendly. Camp spots are too small (mostly covered by a low roofed shelter), access awkward (10 point turns needed).
If you want to stay beyond 10am they want 110NAD pp extra!
Showers open air - great for warm weather but chilly on May evenings!
Lots of noise from the road.
Seems to be being used as a workers camp with groups on sites. With limited ablutions this can lead to long waits. The campsite right next to the semi-open air ladies shower is occupied by a large group of workers - very inappropriate.
