Latest Check-Ins

People’s previous comments refer to two different locations, which was a bit confusing.

For clarity: If you get off the freeway at the Fourth of July exit and drive up Lakes Divide Road (south of freeway), you will quickly come to a fork in the road.

If you go left at the fork, you’ll be taking Forest Road 614, a dirt road which will take you to the exact coordinates of this iOverlander location. The coordinates are for a trailhead parking area that has space for maybe 4-5 regular size rigs, or 1 or 2 bigger rigs. Not totally flat, but not bad. I stayed the night here and just a few cars drove by me up the forest road. There are no pit toilets at this location, but they are nearby (see below).

If you go right at the fork, you will continue on a paved road and quickly come to a big paved parking lot which is flat, has ample space, and has 2 pit toilets. However, the sign at the fork in the road says this is a day use only area.

Report Check-In

Somewhat level small turn off from FS 614. There is no pot toilet as others have noted.

Report Check-In

Big lot, pit toilets. Quiet. Room for several cars.

Report Check-In

Level spot just off a nice gravel road. Good for vans but probably not big rigs.

This spot worked great for me. I was traveling through from Mount Shasta to Pablo, MT and needed a quiet peaceful place to stay that was easy to get to as I rolled in about 1:30 a.m. 18' Winnie Drop

Report Check-In

Worked for the night - just needed a quiet place off the interstate to sleep for the night. I was in there with an 18' Minnie Drop

Report Check-In

Pulled in just as it was getting dark. Dirt road was doable in our camper van but anything larger would probably be better staying at the other spot across the highway. Not 100% level but not bad for the night. Quiet, didn't see anybody.

Report Check-In

Easy place to stop and you are in the woods. Room for several campers but was just me. Pick up trash please. 2 bar’s T-Mobile.

Report Check-In

Nice trailhead parking lot for boondocking. Pit toilet and trials but no other services and no AT&T cell signal.
