Possible to buy per month (90 Soles) for a Landcruiser. This is the NEW LOCATION of the town office. Monday to Thursday 8:30 to 6:00. Lunch from 1:00 to 2:00. Friday, 8:30 to 2:00.

Report Check-InYou have to ask for SOAT PARA EXTRANJEROS. The lady helping us was new so it took her roughly 2 hours to complete all of the necessary paperwork. We paid 90 soles for 2 months of coverage (1995 Ford E-150 Van) which was around $27USD. We recommend the place but be patient. I speak Spanish fluently and had to provide a lot of guidance as to what we needed and why. They only accept cash payment.

Report Check-InWe crossed the border at la Balsa and Aduana said go to Jaen to get insurance. We went to the fancy mapfre store that charges 45S per month per car. They charge 245S for one month for a motorcycle because motorcycles are more dangerous. We went to a different place and got it for 100S (called SOAT on iOverlander)

Report Check-In30 days for a chevy express cost us 90 soles. Good, fast, friendly service. Be careful if using maps.me, it will try to send you the wrong way on a one way street. First place we found for SOAT coming from La Balsa. We got pulled over once, explained our situation, and the super nice police officer told us to drive safely to this office.
Report Check-InStill good place for insurance. 2008 year Sprinter is also 90 soles per month. It took them some time to enter our vehicle to their system but it all worked out good.
