Rio Pipo | Established Campground

Quiet rainy night from Wednesday to Thursday. Parking spots are good. May fit big rigs if you park along, instead of 90° to the road. Chemical toilets available. If you enter the park after 4pm, the guard will let you in without payment. You can stay one night for free. If you want to stay longer, you should check in the next day. Here at this specific spot we got Claro signal, but not 3G. Only H+.

stayed 3 nights. Great campsite, the camp spots are ok, some flat on stones, some not so flat on soil, with shade/sun options. When we were there, this camp site had very little wind, especially compared to the other. Toilet very basic but it was regularly cleaned and filled up with toilet paper. Good signal with Movistar.
Safe, quiet at night, little other vehicles. Most scenic views all around, it’s the most amazing we stayed in Argentina. Gorgeous. Wild horses, fox and curious birds spotted around the camper.

várias vagas de estacionamento ao longo do rio pipo. A estrada de terra solta muito pó, incomoda quando passa carros.
Domingo estava lotado, quase não havia vagas, mas o incomodo maior eram os carros passando e levantando pó.
na segunda o lugar ficou vazio e foi incrível. o Bonito aqui não é muito onde você estaciona, pois não é tão colado no Rio, mas o lugar é incrível. caminhar ao longo de todo o rio e apreciar a paisagem é uma experiência fantástica.
há banheiros químicos. sem água, luz e lixeiras (por conta de animais).

Camping in the Tierra del Fuego park, at the end of the ride to the Pipo river waterfall. WC, no electricity, no water but there is a river. Quiet night. There was a little phone signal.

camping dans le parc de la terre de feu, au bout départ de la balade vers la cascade de la rivière Pipo. wc, pas d’électricité, pas d’eau mais il y a une rivière. nuit tranquille. il y avait un peu de signal téléphonique.

Despite the confusion about the correct location this campground still exists. Rangers will explain to you all available campgrounds at the entrance.
However, currently there are some roadworks and creation of new parking spaces ongoing. Therefore, the small access road to get to the nicer spots, near the river, was closed for traffic. Due to this only two or three spots on grass remain, but they are at the beginning of the campground far away from the river, but close to the dusty and quite busy road.

The site in the app is at the wrong location (maybe an old campsite location which is now a day use). The real site, Rio pipo camping agreste, is on the right side of the ruta 3 (along the rail train) with a lovely river, toilet... Nice spot, we were alone, more remote and quieter than laguna verde, no bus is going or passing by this site.

Uno-home. Área de camping mais movimentada. Perto do Rio Pipo, uma faixa estreita para estacionar, terreno não muito plano, com bastante buracos nos caminhos dos carros. Única área de camping do parque com sinal de celular, mas segundo o guarda do parque, somente a operadora Movistar que pega. Claro e Personal não pegam. Tem churrasqueiras de tijolos espalhados. Cuidados com os ratinhos e outros roedores, além de passarinhos que pegam as comidas e se ficar de bobeira podem até adentrar no carro. Um que parecia esquilo pulou e subiu no teto do carro para fuçar o nosso bagageiro.

This camping is still open, this is one of the 3 camping location in the park with Puerto Guaraní and laguna verde.

The camp site looks nice but not w good place for campervans. The other camp site in the park is much better for that.

I'm not sure its allowed to camp here any more; we were told at the park entrance that the only two options are down towards the port, and right through the park to Laguna Verde (the nicer of the 2 sites by far!)

nice campsite the entrance fee is now 560 PPS into the national park chemical toilets which where clean water from stream and full service on mobile movistar all in all a nice spot to camp

Nice spot shortly before Park Gate. Turn right immediately before the new bridge across Rio Pipo. Beautiful view of the mountains, ground can be muddy. No traffic at night, since only park visitors pass by. Some wind protection by trees

Great place if you come early (with a vehicle). There are tens of places, but most are rendered inaccessible to vehicles and therefore only available to hikers and bikers.

The spot closest to the river (was it BBQ 24?) offered wind protection for our roof tent.

The entrance fee for the park entitles you to two nights without further costs.

This is about the only place in the park that has Claro GSM reception.

One of the most beautiful spots we have camped on our entire trip. We parked our camper right next to the river. Wild horses milled around, and we had the best views of the mountains. Chemical Toilets were clean and not smelly at all. Hike to small waterfall is more like a walk, flat and takes no time at all. 3G claro service in the campground.

Camping Rio Pipo, super especial, localizado dentro do Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego. Tem um visual incrível para o Rio e para as cordilheiras aínda cobertas de neve. Tivemos a felicidade de ver e sentir um pouco de neve caindo, apesar de estarmos na primavera. O frio e o vento gelado são intensos. Para o acesso ao Parque Nacional pagamos 420 ARS por pessoa, permitindo-nos ficar três dias e duas pernoites.

4runner/ rooftent No park fees at this time of year. best spots for vehicles is if you continue right around to the right, no posts blocking you and level enough areas. some trees for wind protection but still when we were here. lovely and quiet! ranger came in the morning and apparently we should have told them at the gate we were camping and got a free permit.

Nice place free when you've pay the park.
OK for big rig but take care to the tree.
It's very bumpy but we found a place for our truck.
Wild horses and nice river.
Clean toilet.

Great campsite, although a challenge to find a level spot, we drove to the end of the road, turned right and found a reasonably level spot 2 pitch on the right. Fairly busy but quiet. Flushing Toilets clean with paper and towels. Good Claro 4G reception.

I liked this one better than the one at the laguna. Toilets are clean. Plus there is 3G signal witn claro so you can enjoy the view and get some work done :)

Very nice camprgound within the parc. Very busy when we arrived sunday night at 18:00 with local people, but within two hours we had the whole campground to ourselves. The machete we found came in handy during cooking!

we paid only the park entrance fee of 350 per person. nice hikes to be done in the park and allows to go to the end of national road 3 where a nice sign is to show that you have reached the end of the road in south america. the park entrance fee allows for 3 days and 2 nights but we stayed one more night and the ranger came to control us on the last morning. A small talk with them and they did not fine us for the overstay. the spot is missing picnic tables and don't forget to bring your own fire wood from outside the park as you are not allowed to pick any wood in the park.

Wonderful campsite next to the river.
Firepits and toilets are available. We stayed all in all 4 days in the park, changing the campsites. There was no problem to get out.

Freaky stuff happened in the night! We camped at number 5 and went into our tent at 10pm we heard a noise 5 mins later like a water bottle being crunched then our car alarm started going off, we went out to look around with torches nothing there so we slept in our car! The next morning there was tent pegs ripped out and a machete on the grass 7m from our tent!

We found this spot better than the other 2 free sites in the park. The site is right by the river, much bigger than the other 2 and more sheltered. Great views of the surrounding mountains and much less busy than the other 2 sites

This is a great free camping area with restrooms and fire pits. Great views of the mountains and rivers and a pack of horses was here eating by the river when we were here.

The campsite at Rio Pipo is amazing! Most beautiful site in the park with horses all around you. The toilets were very clean. Entry to the park is 140 Pesos pP which includes 2 Nights of camping.

We found Camp Rio Pipo to be the most scenic. There are a number of free campgrounds with toilets and fire pits throughout the park. They are marked on the park map. , of course.
