Something not right?

Description

Just a a few blocks from Parque Benito Juárez on the street. Free. There is Estacionamiento Isseg across the street but out of service during our visit. We noticed at night there is a police station next to parking entrance. Feels a very safe place. Our rig has been parked here all day while we were visiting the town. No issues, locals told us this is a safe town. Actually San Miguel Allende is gorgeous.

Ahora no se puede estacionar en este lugar, estan los carteles pero si se puede una cuadra mas adelante. Super tranquilo y seguro para poder dejar el carro para recorrer el centro.

Now you can not park in this place, there are the signs but if you can a block later. Super quiet and safe to leave the car to travel downtown.

There is now only one side of the street where you can park so only a few spots available. Good location to explore the city by foot. Noisy till late and traffic starts early in the morning. A drunk man came knocking at our door in the middle of the night but my dog scared him and he left us alone. Would recommend this location for one night.

Stayed here for 2 nights and loved the location but the attendants at the parking lot next door seemed to become irritated that we were boon docking and told us the police would be coming. Before you know it, a policewoman was knocking on the door telling us we were in a no parking zone (despite cars parked on the street everywhere around us) and told us she would ticket us if we didn't move. A bit dicey in that regard but it was amazing while it lasted!

Good spot on a wide, level, pretty quiet, and unbusy street. Across from Parque Benito Juarez which is a really pretty park, fun to walk through. Just up the street from the big paid parking lot. We were parked here for two nights, had no issues and felt safe. Before finding this spot we tried to park on one of the narrower streets, bad idea, our large van sideswiped a local's truck 😞 Lucky for us the guy was really understanding, we paid him for the damages and went on our way.

Parked here all day seemed safe. Woke up to the sound of people trying to steal my bike off the front of our truck....they got away with the back wheel
