Description
Not sure how long this will last but due to the teachers strike which has been happening for the last two months, there are a lot of protests each day in this town. Cars are being painted with words of support for the teachers so my advice is do not stop and instead drive through. We have no problem when we were staying on the Pan Am but as we stopped to camp above the town, nearly all the trucks and cars that passed us were painted.

We drove through the town on 10 September, Sunday. Before entering the town we asked at a toll booth and the guy said the "blockade will be on on Monday, today they're having a rest". We don't have any more information on how long this may last or how it would impact transit through town.
