A river on one side, forest on the other and in between meadows that are great for camping. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon in late July and the place was packed! I'm talking 1000s of Romanians with their caravans or tents! So privacy & tranquility are low, but on the upside you're not alone and might make some friends. Our neighbor shared their homemade booze with us...
few portaloos scattered around but definitely not enough for all the ppl there. So the forest ist being used as ablution block.
As we left sunday morning, there was an official at the entrance to the valley & it looked like ppl had to pay to get in and were handed rubbish bags. I can't imagine the fee would have been high.
There are said to be many many bears in the area. But i think with all the ppl there, loud music & fires they would not be very interested in visiting this valley. may be very different in off season.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We camped here and there was nobody.
But lots of warning signs of no-camping and rightly…
At night we got a visit of a brown bear which shook one of our cars (on search for past night hamburgers…).
Right after police came and let us sleep here But warned that the fine can be as high as 400€!
Report Check-InWe stayed there from a Sunday to a Monday and you could imagine how packed it has been during the weekend. Lot of rubbish which was churned by bears during the night (we have seen). Wouldn’t stay there in a tent 😉. But in general a beautiful valley.
