Very noisy. Got in at 11 and up by 5:30. People pulling in and out at anytime. And right next to main road. Not my fave but nothing else around!
Report Check-Inwiggley field dog park in Peru.
big quiet parking lot behind a veterans cemetery. no signs saying no overnight. a dog park your dog can round around in at any hour. pretty quiet but will have someone come early in the am with their dog.
As described, but a little hectic. We had some locals doing doughnuts right next to us for about 15 minutes at night which was kind of freaky.
On the other hand a very friendly cop stopped by and said hello - said it was fine to park there and to call if we had any trouble.
On the other other hand every old fart in town who owned a pickup truck cruised by us and tried to peek in our windows from about 4:30 AM on.
Overall this spot is legal and will do in a pinch, but I can’t recommend it for a good night’s sleep or comfortable vibes.
Report Check-InStill available. Park towards the entrance not far from the restroom.
Based on previous post I parked near the river just passed the boat ramp entrance and it was active throughout the night and early morning fishing. Didn't sleep well over there.
I saw that someone mentioned electricity. I see the outlets on the pole but I am not sure if that's for public use. It doesn't say either way.
Report Check-InNice stop for the night if you didn’t want to stay near Chicago. There’s a ton of street lights but we just closed our curtains. A bit noisy, you won’t be sleeping in because of all the fisherman. However we pulled down the grassy road in the far right and got pretty close to the water, pretty in the morning!
Report Check-InStayed at end of road by river and docks. A few fishermen but very quiet and peaceful. Good spot for night. Fully self contained so did not use facilities at boat launch.
Report Check-Innot a bad place at all. quiet. pit toilets. no clean water. water in Mississippi river is very muddy so no swimming either.
Report Check-InFor fishermen or women, this is great walleye fishing and the sauger capital of the US. Great place for booting.
Report Check-InSpring Valley Walleye Club Parking Area, toilets are open and we even had electricity. Close to the Illinois River under the bridge, right at the boatramp. Close to a laundromat (0.5mi).
Report Check-InFree parking at boatramp. Police said it is okay to stay over night and safe.
