Good guest house for 10.000. Spacious clean room with table and sofa. Pit toilet, bucket shower. Had a very pleasant night, wasn't noisy at all like in so many other places here in east africa. Also near the bus station. Friendly staff.

Decent enough for one night. Paid 45,000 Tzs for a Double Room - though he first asked for 60,000 Tzs. Reduced only when we said we’d look somewhere else. Room is clean though smelling strongly of some kind of cleaning detergent. Toilet was leaking. Cold shower only.

The bed linen was fresh and the rooms were large. We ordered ahead by phone, and the meal fish, vegetables, and pap was served 3 hours later. I would recommend don't take the room by the stairs on the first floor, all the TV noise from downstairs filters up. We had a wo deedul sleep.Would come back again

This is the 'Holland Hotel', not the New Holland Hotel and can be found on Google.

It was okay. Ther car park is relatively secure, and the chap waahes your car for you.

The room was clean enough although no AC or ceiling fan, so it got a little hot. The shower works although the head was clogged up with limescale.

The restaurant and bar serves okay food and has a number of beers and soft drinks.

It worked out okay for the night

Clean rooms, hot shower, secure off-street parking and the guard will clean your car for a tip. Restaurant is excellent. We had vege/fish curry for dinner which was delicious and good value. Breakfast included in price and was a good spread - much more substantial than we have experienced at other hotels. Centrally located so easy to walk to bakery, atm and explore a little.

A 1 night stop over after crossing the border into Tanzania from Zambia. Large room with ensuite with flushing toilet and hot shower. All clean and comfortable. Restaurant basic but had a decent omelette and chips for very cheap 4000 tsz. Rooms are 40,000, 50,000 or 60,000 and include breakfast. Safe carpark with night watchman for your vehicle and as mentioned before he washes it overnight for u too! There was only a very limited mini supermarket in the town but the kitchen sold us some steak and a chicken (quarterd) for our fridge which meant we had enough food to continue travelling.

Nice stop over. Rooms are ok. Bed and bedding clean and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was very good and really cheap. Security at night available. Recommend to stay here.

Surprisingly nice place with a clean room, clean sheets, good mattress in the bed. Hot shower. Friendly staff. Secure parking behind gate and a night guard. Double room for 50.000Tsh, including breakfast (but breakfast was not great). Restaurant served fairly good food, cheap prices. They can wash your car, too. We gave 5000Tsh for the wash for the old man, who was very grateful. Ok stop over on your way from/to Lake Tanganyika.

paid 40.000 tsh for a room, they showed me the 50.000 one but there wasn't much difference (slightly bigger), includes breakfast with eggs, pancakes, toast, sausage, coffee, warm milk.
Good restaurant with menu, they even had everything I ordered. As I'm cycling I eat a lot, they gave me good value for money.

This is the Holland Hotel.

Decent hotel, for Tanzania standards has a limited restaurant and bar (cheap) as well. Also walking distance from the Vodafone shop and ATM.

We paid 55 000 tsh for a double room. Western toilet, water pressure was very low so rather take 2nd floor room. Otherwise clean and helpful staff with a good secure parking area.

Pleasant stay, double room with all mentioned below at TSH50000, includes a nice breakfast with pancakes, eggs, bread, sausage, fruit and tea/coffee! Evening meal was wholesome, home cooked style and fair price. Drinks also reasonably priced

Place ok. Clean. Hot showers. Restaurant was not that bad. Staff is very unhelpful and rude (to the extent they speak English). Paid TSH 50,000 for a double room. They can wash your car for TSH 5,000.

Near to big and very busy bus station 30.000TSh pn

PAY ATTENTION THERE ARE TWO NEW HOLLAND HOTELS. JUST TAKE THE OTHER ONE :-) THEY HAVE RESTAURANT.
this one has no Restaurant, no bar, nice people.
Smaller car park in front of the reception. Big rigs share the place with busses in the public area.

Safe, clean hotel with safe, guarded, fenced parking. Large room with clean linen. Very small bathroom with shower not seperate, but right over toilet and wash basin. Hot water geyser has to be switched on, which we did not know. Restaurant food very average. Ok for overnight.

Very neat hotel with friendly staff and good affordable restaurant. Double room cost 45 000 TZS. Rooms are spacious with a desk and bathrooms have proper hot showers and western flush toilets. Bed sheets are super clean.Safe parking available. They even wash your vehicle.
