Description

This is a family owned motel in Barranca. It is a walled compound inside which every room has its own little closed driveway. Super safe and secure for our two motorcycles. I think it used to be a "love motel". It is super clean, the showers are hot. Although there is not wifi access in our room, our hostess let us hang out in her kitchen where the wifi was fine. Adriana speaks English and her husband as well. She is one of the nicest people we have met on our South America tour! At 60 Soles per night for a room, this place has great value for the money. I highly recommend it! It is also close to the archeological sites of Caral and Paramonga.

Enjoyed this place a lot. Our truck (5.6m long) fit in the garage with the nose a bit out. We didn’t mind though, as the area feels very safe, and the entire property is gated. We paid 80S + an extra 10 for a load of laundry. Rooms are spacious and clean. Shower is hot. We took a 5S moto taxi to the beach and had dinner. Really awesome little town.

this place is now 80 soles a night and does not accept pets anymore. didn't stay.

Was relieved to see the secure parking - the motel has a gated/walled entrance and each "suite" has it's own enclosed parking as you can see in our photo. Village is as nasty as someone else described and I see no other reason to stay here other than out of necessity and not wanting to drive through the night. Internet access here is terrible, not because of poor WiFi signal within the room (it was close to max. strength) and celular data was better in our experience. Now charging s/60 per room. Seems steep for this town but worth it for the parking. Rooms are very clean and the hostess very friendly and professional. Officially no pets allowed but since we have a very small and chilled dog (and we were about to go elsewhere) they agreed to our request.

Barranca is one of those curious places in South America which have many hostels/etc but none are cheap. Cheapest was Hostel RIP near here for 30s. Here seemed nicer for 35 (after haggling). It was ok but if i was to go down the pan am again i would probably try and dodge barranca altogether.

Great place for to be in Barranca. Adriana”s phone number 51 1 2365387. This is not a Lovers place”. Looks like, but two years ago, this is a great family Hostal. Secure parking, clean and comfortable rooms with warm watter. Not restaurant facilities. Different room places. Not for camping. Wifi just close to mail admon and no fast really. No at rooms. Recomended if you stop in Barranca. Around isn’t nice place

Great fences Motel, where you can park your van in front of your room. For 15$ a room It’s a good option to stay even for longer.
In Summer the rooms are getting hot during the day as the Isolation is a disaster...
We also brought our dogs and they could run inside the property.
Laundry is very cheap!

Awesome place! Adriana is a really lovely owner, makes amazing coffee and helps with everything. Exceptional clean room, hot shower, secure. They offer Laundry for 10 Soles, wifi didn’t always work. We came with our dogs and they played all day in the garden 😁 A really good place to stay in this otherwise unsafe area.

Our Dodge Ram 3500 was not able to fully fit in the parking spots in front of the rooms so we left the front end sticking out. I have added a picture..we could have backed up another metre or so but left room for the tailgate and steps for our camper. Wifi reached our room, number 8. Very clean, good beds, friendly owner 50 Sol for the night. Our dog was allowed on the condition that she stayed off of the furniture.
