Great place for the night was alone, parked opposite the boat freight away from the boat launch - next to the woods and yes lots of mosquitoes- saw a bear cub near Mission March trails further down the road - so lots of wildlife. Garbage were clean and grass freshly cut.

Spot sympa et calme pour passer la nuit! Grand stationnement principalement d'herbe en lisière de forêt et non loin d'une rampe de mise à l'eau pour les bateaux. Aucun panneau "no overnight camping".

Didn’t feel great about some of the spots in Thunder Bay so came to here. Felt a lot safer so spent the night. Lots of Geese but not much else. There were bins but they were overflowing. Nice quiet spot for an overnight stop.

Best free camping spot in thunder Bay. Nice bit grassy area with heaps of room. A picnic table and bins, and good sunset spot. Was very quiet at night.

Beautiful spot. Tons of deer and plenty of geese. Lovely view of the sunrise and sunset, and plenty of space for us. One picnic table, a garbage bin, and a recycling.

Lot of geese and beautiful sunset.
Spent two night here, the first one, a sunday evening, very calm, 3 others campers with us, NO mosquitos.
The second one, noise from factory around here and a lot of mosquitos ! It’s a freight zone, but sleep well anyway.
Really good place.

Paved but pretty rough road getting in. Boat launch in Industrial area, there are far nicer places to stay in the area , but it will do

Report Check-In

Grand parking d'herbe, un peu de bitume également. Nous sommes restés une nuit. Nous avons vu des biches en soirée, nuit très agréable, pas de bruit. Quelques locaux venus voir l'eau.

Report Check-In

There is lots of grass, garbage and recycling bins, a picnic table, and room for several vehicles. We didn’t see any deer or geese, but heard the geese overhead practicing for their winter flights. We smelled a skunk during the night. Take care if you have dogs. There is a nearby railway, so we heard trains (no horns) during the night. Overall, it was a good stop.

Nice spot that is also used by locals for fishing. Also saw deer and geese but unfortunately a lot of mosquitoes as well.

Deer, geese, and huge grass fields with a healthy population of mosquitoes as advertised.

As others have said: nice, quiet place next to the water. Deer all over the area. Recommend spending time down the road at the scenic lookout then sleeping here. I had lovely morning sunrise there and also tonight’s sunset, before parking at boat ramp.

Sweet little spot. Lots of room for parking. Occasional dog walkers and fishermen during the early evening. Deer and geese grazing the fields at night. Calm and peaceful.

Quiet boat launch with plenty of space for a self contained B class Van. Saw locals swim off the docks. Mission Marsh conservation park just down the street for a morning walk and place to make breakfast with a great view of the sleeping giant.

Report Check-In

Comme décrit. Rien ne semble avoir changé depuis la dernière description. C’est très agréable d’y être en regardant les chevreuils à moins de 10 mètres de nous.
