Namibia
Tent pitches; some far from each other but others quite near. Close to the crystal clear Tsauchab River, good ablutions, braai stand, firewood, candlelit at night, swimming in river pools, very quiet and relaxing. Can be windy. 200 NAD per person per night.

Rock pools close by on the Tsauchab river . Wildlife around springbok, Zebra, Gemsbok, genet, leopard if you are lucky, hyena & jackal can be heard. Beautiful camp in natural nature setting.Peaceful & serene.
200N pppn
Lovely basic campsite without electricity and no telephone signal . Friendly managerd and loved the tea lights at night along the trail to the toilets.
When we were there it was very cold and windy.
Report Check-InBeautiful site with mountain views from the pitches. Very well spaced out pitches. We felt like we were totally alone. Natural springs on the site to swim in. Real sense of openness and wilderness - but still lots of amenities including running spring water at each pitch, very clean toilets and hot shower. Candles are lit to ablutions in evening - lovely! We enjoyed the quiver tree forest hike. We also visited the National Park from here- it’s a 45 mins drive there, so this makes a great base. 200pppn. Firewood available. No signal, no wifi, no shop etc- not that sort of place! We sent a WhatsApp in advance, but it was not busy.
Report Check-InAbsolutely lovely place. We were the only ones there, after we drove down from Windhoek. Owner super friendly, it is a pity we could not stay longer as there are a couple hiking trails on the mountain that we would have liked to do. There is a 9 km in/out that takes you to one of the largest Quiver tree forest. Price was 200 pps. You can book through WhatsApp in advance.
Report Check-InEverything still as described before, clean and well maintained. What a wonderful place!
The fountains and pools ( with big Catfish) are really amazing.
We enjoyed 2 nights in this camp.
With our big rig we stayed at ACACIA.
We paid NAD175 ppn for Namibians
We stayed 1 night, 200,- per person. Very romantic place, river pools with crystal clear water. Owner provided us ice for free, definitely recommendable
Report Check-InWe have been here a few years ago and where looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately the once green sites dotted along the river with the pools do not have any shade anymore. The most trees are dead, some have already fallen or had to be cut - for us it looked like from a fire but the owners say because of the draught. A real pitty as the owners are very nice and the pools after the flooding cristal clear and refreshing. We stayes one night instead of the planned two. N$ 185p.Per/night with shared bathrooms/showers.
For N$ 50 you can go for a swimm as day visitor which is well worth the stop.
Since there has been little rain the last 3 years only 3 swimming pools are left (bit greenish now). Place is still very nice. Price is now n$ 205 pppn.
Report Check-InVery nice place with friendly owners and great views. We thought it was pricey at N175 pppn, but that’s similar to others around.
Report Check-InBeautiful nice and quiet campsite in the middle of nowhere. The owner is very friendly and light candles at night for the way to the ablution block which is very clean. You can swim in natural pools on the premises.
Report Check-InN$300 for 2 persons. Sites fairly widely spread and with braai stands, sink & fresh water, shade and free firewood. Ablutions are shared (block of 2 x toilet, shower & sink units) between at least 4 pitches - descriptions of private ablutions are misleading. Hot water for showers provided by donkey which was lit at 1800hrs. River pools down to 2 in late December but still clear and fresh. Signs of zebra, springbok and baboons around but only birds and insects seen by us.
Report Check-InThe river pools caught our attention in this dry land, so we decided to pay the N$300 for two people and a truck. A bit expensive but it was worth it: very clean sites and ablutions, free firewood, delicious artesian water from the taps. No electricity but we were delighted with the candle lit paths! And of course we enjoyed the fresh cool water in the natural pools - a bliss.
Report Check-InWidespread pitches close to the crystal clear Tsauchab River, private ablutions, braai stand, free firewood, candlelit at night, swimming in river pools, very quiet and relaxing, 240N$/night (16,70€) for two people
