Description

Between the village at the main road and the entrance to the national park are several spots to camp (starting around 2 kms into the road but getting better and better the further in one drives). Any car, any size.
Almost no traffic, apart a few tour buses up to the glacier. Right in the valley with few at the mountain. No shade.

Great and beautiful place near a river .. On the other side of the river, there are some locals in stone-huts who are very friendly .. they sell cheese for 4sols and i can really recommend it!

Lovely quiet spot, and the lowest elevation on this road. Travel with Mate de Coca if you’re planning to go higher!

Report Check-In

if you drive onto this little old track as indicated, then a little bit parallel to the main road, you will find a possibility to drive off the track to the left and find your way down close to the river. Best to walk down there first to check out the terrain. There are several spots where you can park. Not recommended when wet.

This is an old road lay-by, just next to the road. Not too many cars passing in the night. It’s more scenic further into the park, but this spot is convenient.
