Something not right?

Description

At exit 200 going Southbound on highway 5 (marked as a U-turn exit), take the dirt road downhill towards the river. There are many beautiful informal campsites used by locals with fire rings by the river.
Road is steep but I guess a regular car, not oversized RV can make it.
Unexpected plus - no mosquitoes !

many spots, some private ones as well. If you miss the exit - there is another gravel road coming up leads to the river as well...

This place is great! We managed to get down here with our GMC van no troubles, just take it steady. Plenty of places along the river, it had rained recently so there were some mud patches and puddles but we found a spot that worked for us. Pretty popular but for a good reason, lots of rubbish around, we collected a whole bag full from just a 1m radius of our van. Sad that all the best free spots are treated poorly.

Heaps of spots to camp, plenty big enough for big rigs. Obviously a locals spot but had no visitors during mid week. Local came by for some fly fishing in the morning and was friendly. Great spot

got off the mine Rd, stayed at a spot about .6 km South of the dropped pin. nice and flat, and decently long, a good size RV could easily fit here (about 2 car lengths). some hwy noise but the cedars dampen it a bit. road was fine, but expecting rain tonight, so we'll see how it fares in the morning

Not a bad spot at all. Any car can get there. After a lot of rain the dirt road gets a little muddy though. There’s a lot of campsites which is nice in case others are there and they are spread out. It’s nice to be right by a river and not too far from the highway. There was a lot of trash though in some areas. But overall a good safe spot to camp.

Lovely and clean by the river, spent a quiet night. Take the Carolin mine exit from either the south or north side of the road. We didn’t find the road to be steep at all, more pot holey and muddy.
