the rangers are always observing the Lookout Point when Tourists are at the lodge. we had to pay the 15 USD pP. after visiting (was not for free!). better to stay for free at the ranger house! lodge not recommented!

Pretty shoddy camping and not worth the $15 USD pppn for the falls (even when you factor in the 'free' camping). It's better to camp at Kalambo Falls Lodge for a fraction of the price, plus, from the lodge you can access the same viewpoint that you pay $15 USD for (for free).

Kalambo falls are especially stunning in the rainy season or after heavy rain, would highly recommend! A very peaceful and beautiful place to spend some time. Yes not cheap at $15pp plus $5 for a car however this includes camping if you like so it's worth it! The campsite is very basic and has no running water, but there are clean and maintained toilets which they fill to flush and a handwash station, toilet paper and soap provided. Friendly staff and we were the only ones there.

Quiet place and nice people.
Last 2km not very fine for our 9tn truck but ok!
We spent 2 nights here.
The second one just 100zmw for parking
There is no water because a power problem in the line and the pump not working!
Recommed the trek to Myamba and Luke beach from here, check with Muchichi.

I think Ytierie was referring to "Great Kalambo Falls Lodge" because here is not a lodge in the first place. This is the government office for visiting Kalambo Falls. International guests pay 15 USD pp + 5 USD per car to see the falls and they can camp for "free" as no fees are added if you overnight here. The "campsite" is nothing special though but it is pleasant enough and peaceful for one night. No water at all when we were here because the pump isn't working, so campers should be totally self sufficient. Longdrop toilets. Falls and the surrounding cliffs are very impressive but falls can only really be seen in the further viewpoint. Access road is very good at the moment, except the last 2km which are slightly washed away but nothing serious. No MTN network at all.

Sad little campsite. The waterfall isn’t far but you don’t have a view from either the campsite or the lodge… I would recommend staying at the lake and then hiking up to the falls (about two hours). Entry fee is 15$ per person (internationals)… i think there are much prettier waterfalls in Zambia, with nicer campsites and less expensive.

Road up ok. We did it in a 12 ton truck. Campsite run down. Abolition block locked up. Falls are spectacular. Best view from end of path away from falls.

New facilities already run down. No water as we were there. It was more or less bushcamping... We paid 300 Kwacha.

National park run campsite right at the top of the falls. Didn't stay here. Plenty of shade, new ablutions. Concrete tent pads, space for roof tents and big rigs. Road down is rough but no problem for 4x4
