Description

This place is above the new bridge where once the old one was. You can still see the remains of it, but can't step onto it. There is camping just off the new bridge, too.

Latest Check-Ins

There is also a "Wayside" with a pit toilet and tables just across from this listing. There were no signs prohibiting overnight parking so we stayed. Nice and quiet place. Verizon signal using a cell booster.

Report Check-In

we took the road under the trestle bridge.
we enjoyed this campsite very much as it is off the road/private so no highway noise and no dust.
low hanging branches made it a little difficult to access. I don't think anything much bigger than a mini van would fit down the road. a down tree fell across the site significantly depleting the open space. maybe only 2 vehicles would fit here, max.
week Verizon cell service.
mosquitoes were bad.

Report Check-In

East of the bridge turn left and under the old trestle bridge is a large area for camping. Nice spot no sound except running water

Report Check-In

We stayed at the campsite that you get to by following the dirt road under the old train bridge. It is next to an abandoned small building. There were a couple fire rings nearby. you can hear the river from the site, but you can't really see it. It is farther from the highway than the first site which makes it so you can barely hear any cars driving on the highway. We reached the site in a high roof 136" WB RAM ProMaster. There is a pit toilet and trash cans at the wayside across the highway on the opposite side of the river.

Report Check-In

Nice remote free camping spot.

Report Check-In

This spot is for wider vehicles hard to get to as the track is a bit overgrown. A much nicer camp is down beside the river. Not at the road but up the track which goes underneath the bridge to a lovely spot near a ruined hut with (not so level) spots for about three cars. (muddy when wet)
