This road ends 1 km further on the parking lot of the hiking trails - nice trails. So nobody drives this road at night - and very quiet during the day. This campsite is alongside the river where you can refresh yourself and there is a fire pit. If you don't need portable water and toilets, this spot is as good as the campground is but for free.
There is a similar spot 100 m before.

Great site!! Large enough for our skoolie, minivan plus extra! Large fire ring. Road wasn't too bad coming in. Gas station 16min away. We will definitely be back!
Report Check-InGreat Spots with easy access to the creek.
Easy access for all vehicles.
Verizon 1-2 bars LTE

Great level spot right by the creek. Close to Apple Orchard Falls trailhead- excellent hike. Super quiet and peaceful
Report Check-InThis site is awesome! If truck camping, this site can easily accommodate three vehicles and still have plenty of space to enjoy the large fire ring. We were the only campers on the gravel part of this Forest service road. Very quiet.
Report Check-InWe stayed here last night. Only one other camper on the road. Very quiet. 1 bar T mobile
Report Check-InGreat spot along a gravel forest road. I had no problems getting there with my Promaster and I saw a few small cars driving as well. Only saw a few cars driving up and down the road each day. As another reviewer mentioned, Google doesn't recognize this part of the road. When you come to the sign for Apple Orchard Falls pointing straight and Google tells you to go left, GO STRAIGHT! Then, as mentioned, there are 3 spots with a fire ring and pull offs all along the road including the paved area at the front. Once on the gravel, the 3rd spot has a creek view, the other 2 don't but you can hear it and access it via little pathways!
Report Check-InTons of gnats in all the sites along the water. I didn’t get bit by anything but bugs flying around your face is always an annoyance. three big pullouts on the creek with fire pits and a couple other just into the woods with no pits. nice sites and pretty quiet even on weekend despite being so close to two major campgrounds
Report Check-InI followed Google Maps and it had me turn left on 768 instead of staying straight on the gravel portion of 59, so watch out for that if you’re using an app to navigate. Otherwise, no problems reaching site. The sound of the river is lovely for sleeping :) I have one bar on Verizon.
Report Check-InAs described, except you are supposed to pay a fee.
It is currently closed due to COVID, but there are plenty of pull off places along the road - I pulled in right next to this campsite
As described. Got here at 6pm and only saw 1 set of hikers. Nice place to spend the night. Access is easy.
