Latest Check-Ins

We enjoyed so much staying here and regret the former negative comment on loud music: we found a very quiet and respectful place, even now on New Years days.
Clean and well equipped campsite under trees with private washing area, braai place, drinkable fresh water, power, clean ablutions, fantastic food at restaurant, very friendly and helpful staff.
Many animals, super activities worth the prize. Pls.check info on Harnas Foundation : Harnas.org

FOLLOWUP ON MY PREVIOUS REVIEW:

HARNAS is a beautiful haven for various animals. One can see they do good work. We had a very delicious dinner.

However: the noise level with the music and shouting was uncalled for. We visit these remote places for the peace and tranquility, never knowing what was waiting for us. Only 90 minutes after I first called the office, and complained about the noise, it came to a sudden end. Above all the noise came from their staff quarters.

LOUD MUSIC

LOUD MUSIC

We read all the great reviews, and decided to drive all the way here to experience this "awesome venue". Little did we know what was awaiting us....! Upon checking in we had to read and sign this form about all the do's and don'ts. All was fine, because this is a wildlife sanctuary.....! We went for dinner and as we came back to our campsite we heard this loud music, and people shouting. I immediately phoned the office, and he said that he will quiet them down.
Well, it is now 1 hour later, and still the music is booming, people shouting.
This is most unpleasant.
I called all their phone numbers, none gets answered.
My husband walked back to the office TWICE, and still they are playing their music, and shouting.
I will strongly advice people to not support this establishment, as they do not care for their guests!!!!

NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

Beautiful grounds and nice camping but quite expensive at $270 PP. Nice people working there and decent WiFi at the kiosk (not the restaurant).

Camping 200pp - fully equipped - hot water. Very interesting place - you can visit the foundation (feeding of lions, cheetahs, baboons, leopards, wild dogs 3 h with coffee and biscuits - extra charge 500 pp - but worth it). Many other animals. Ideal when travelling with children, you see a lot of animals close and get a lot of explanations about them - very interesting. Swimmingpool , good restaurant and bar in nice settings.
