Description

We camped in their grassy parking lot which is pretty level. They have a nice dog that got along well with our 3 trouble-maker dogs. It is in a beautiful lolcation overlooking the lake and the big Swiss Chalet hotel-restaurant down the hill. There is a really nice garden in front of the restaurant where we chilled and enjoyed some beverages while the dogs did their thing. Free to camp. Menu del dia for dinner was 14k. Plenty of room in the parking lot. You can also take a boat from here to the island for the same price as in the town Canto. There is a trail that leads down the hill from the garden to the lancha area.

Ok spot for the night, but we didn’t feel so welcome. We stayed here after the Trampolina. We were told we could shower, but they never opened any for us. Bathrooms close when the restaurant closes. The grassy hill in front of the restaurant has a beautiful view. Fun spot for dogs to run around. The parking lot is in a seemingly chill/residential area, but there were quite a few sketchy characters around our van all through the night (Saturday) until 4:30am. Didn’t sleep well.

We weren’t able to consume much in the restaurant due to our diet, but we still got juices, coffees, and a dessert as a thank you. They charged a parking fee because we didn’t meet the quota… maybe 1-2 lunches or dinners? Unsure.

Report Check-In

Nice spot to stop on your way to Las Lajas (or after the trampoline road). The restaurant serves trout with vegetable soup, juice, a small salad and fruit and cheese at the end. When we were there, there was a birthday celebration so it was a little loud. The spot where you camp does not have a view of the lake, but the view of the valley and the hills is very beautiful! The Wi-Fi doesn’t reach to where the parking lot is unless you park closer to the restaurant, since there was an event we parked farther away! It was a very nice spot to spend one night!

They now have rooms, tho the sign at the bottom of the lane has hotel crossed out. We had planned to camp but we were wet and cold so we're very happy to book a room 90COP. Reasonably hot shower, stunning view of the lake. It is now 25COP pp for dinner, but it was well worth it. Fresh homemade soup, trout, fresh warmed fruit for dessert and jugo! Beautiful tranquil spot. They happily let us hang up out tent to dry out ! Friendly staff.

Report Check-In

Nice little spot for one or two nights. The staff lives right next door so you can arrive late, hungry, and tired and they’ll open up and give you a nice fish dinner. We slept like babies here.

Report Check-In

we tried coming here on a Tuesday at 4pm and the front door to what appeared to be the office was locked. small grassy area wasn't very flat and the building looked run down. I hollered to find someone but no one answered. I'm not sure this place survived COVID. we stayed at the swiss chalet, hotel guamuez, and it was very nice.

Report Check-In

Such a lovely spot. We camped in the lot and had the company of the hotel’s two dogs along with a motley crew of assorted other pups. The garden is full of all sorts of herbs and vegetables. The path down to the lake is lovely. Beautiful view. We cooked dinner ourselves, but did have the blackberries with ricotta. Blackberries are grown onsite! So delicious. Had a nice breakfast of eggs with hot chocolate. All that for 3 people, about $7USD total. Camping still free it seems! Lovely, peaceful visit. Really friendly host, although our Spanish wasn’t strong enough to understand everything. Wish we had more time here.

We paid 17000 for the menu: vegetable soup, trout from the lake, cheese with mulberries, natural lemonade included. My rico and definitely worth the price including a quiet night. We were here for the second time.

Report Check-In

the price for menu is now 16.000cop pp. they returned by 6 pm and we ate at 7.30.. quiet night, slow internet (wifi)..

We really enjoyed this place. We arrived around 4pm and had a walk around the beautiful property and down to the lake. Our mischievous dog got along very well with their pooches. They are very friendly. We had dinner at around 7pm it was 15000$ for a soup, amazing trout and a lovely dessert. The camping is in the parking lot behind the restaurant. But is still a lovely garden. There is an amazing view over the lake from the property. We used the bathroom, but didn't ask about a shower. The wifi works well in the restaurant, and works a little in the car park. Would stay again. Very beautiful. Camping was free with the purchase of a meal

As described. We had the menu del día reasonable price, nice few and therfore parking in the grassy lot for free. It's two dogs at the moment but was ok for one day with our boy. Really nice few!

We spend one night here, we arrive really late at night but we knocked at the staff house and they got up and provide us with a confortable room for the night at $40.000 per person including breakfast, we also had the special request of letting our dog stay the night with us and they accepted as is not common here, as long as the dogs dont use the beds they are ok with it. The place is quiet and has a nice view, We believe that camping is also available if requested.

Good stop before border. Calm, beautiful views. Ate the dinner for $15pp and it was great...well worth it. And of course that gets you the free stay. Hot electric shower, bathrooms open all night with paper but no seats. Parking lot might be full when you get there, but clears out quickly as people finish their meals, so you can reposition rig.

Report Check-In

No one there except us. Was hoping to meet other people. 10,000 for overnight in camper parked behind the place so no view from camper. Showers and WiFi included. Couldn’t figure out how to know if or when boat came to dock there but then rain and fog so never went to the island. Older lady very nice and tried to be helpful but we don't know much Spanish and she didn't know any English.

Arrived here around one and had lunch instead of dinner; still get a three course meal with juice for 15000COP pp. Delicious garlic trout! Camped in lot as others did. Decent Tigo reception, okay wifi but better in restaurant. Bathrooms had no seats but there was TP, soap and. towel. Owner very nice.

nice place and very good value - lovely 3 course dinner for 15000 & no charge for parking-up overnight. Lovely views & pretty gardens. Not very impressed with breakfast, I suggest 'paying' for your night-stop buying dinner only.

Very nice place and nice old woman. We took dinner (15 000p) and stayed 2 nights for free. We didn't use shower. Wifi average to slow(when it's raining)

Second time Im here on my way back from Ecuador. This place is absolutely beautiful and calm with the best view over the lake. I camped with my two dogs and spent a great time. Ana Julia the owner is a kind, warm person that is willing to help and make everyone happy. All thumbs up!

They allow us to set tent in the garden, there is a flat spot under the tree, for 1-2, maybe 3 tents. Cost 10000$ for tent and two people.
We didn't manage to use hot shower however, something didn't work and it was given cold water only. Overall place is quite clean and nice. Great view to the lake.
Socket wall is near bartender only :)
We were here on bicycles during our SA bike tour.

Beautiful garden with view to the lake. Everything ok for me and my two dogs. We camped and had the most beautiful sight when waking up. No fee but they ask we have something at the restaurant. We had breakfast for 6000. There are also meals for 15000.

Report Check-In

Same as comments below. Just a heads up- we asked if they had potable water and they said yes. We double checked and they said yes it was fine for drinking. After we filled up our tanks we saw that there is green algae floating in our tank. Maybe don't fill up unless you have a powerful filter.

What a lovely lovely place to stay. A large parking area big enough for large rigs, very level. Owners charge nothing however we did have breakfast the next day which was a very very cheap. 5000 COP for Desayuno plus coffee/hot chocolate. Hot chocolate came con queso. Yum!! 5 stars.

Report Check-In

We had two amazing meals here and a wonderful night sleep. The garden is gorgeous and the view of the lake is amazing. We asked to use the shower and there are toilets in the restaurant. No height restriction but parking can be a bit muddy. Overall a great place to stay.

Report Check-In

Such good vibes here from Sra. Anna Julia. Also, the view of the lake and the garden is wonderful. Free to camp even if you don't eat at the restaurant. We had the trout with garlic for 15,000 each and the 3 course meal was very good. We asked to use the shower and were allowed to use the one in the cabin. And there is good wifi.

Very nice family run restaurant. We had delicious fish for 15k and could camp, use Wi-Fi and facilities for free.

Still free if you eat in the restaurant.for us the best place to stay around the laguna.

Basic place to camp on their parking lot. Very friendly owners. Paid 7k for 7 persons and could use toilet and shower, not cold but not warm either. As it rained all day we could use the restaurant area with fire place. Take a boat to the island, quite nice. Good almuerzo for 14k. Also serves breakfast.

Wonderful place to stay. Camping in a tent behind the house with view at the lake. Still free if you eat there: I recommend the vegetable soup. They offer breakfast too.

Wonderful place. Senior "Omar" es muy amable! They now have Wifi too. Spend a couple of days and enjoyed it very much.

Report Check-In

Nice Restaurant, we had a testy dinner and could camp for free. Great view over the lake.

Report Check-In

All information still current. Lovely place to stay, and one of the best meals we had in Colombia (the garlic trout was amazing) -- well priced - 14K for blackberry juice, beer, soup, salad, full plate, and delicious fruit and cheese dessert. The only problem we had was that we were locked out of the bathroom late at night and in the early morning -- which we think was just some miscommunication among staff.

Report Check-In

This is definately the best option of the 4 places recorded. We did not eat at the restaurant and just paid 10K for 2 vehicles for the night. The view and garden areas are beautiful and it is a very relaxed place. May be different on weekends. Clean toilet available. Playground, great place for families with kids.

Beautiful and quiet location. Free to camp if you have dinner. Excellent meal for 14,000 pesos. They allow tent camping. There was someone here in a tent in the front garden.
