Filip, garifuna's leader meet us. Strange guetto still in place because of strong racism between Guatemala people and garifunas?

Met Filip in town today and we spoke with him while he showed us around and eventually guided us to Gambia Place. He's a really knowledgeable and interesting person to talk to, but his job is guiding tourists. We gave him some money as well, but know that it probably doesn't go to the charity he talks about, so pay as much as you think the guide service is. I'm not trying to dissuade people from taking to him and he did give us great information on the Garifuna (the restaurant is amazing, too and on iO), just a note that the money most likely goes to his pocket, so pay accordingly.

We met Filip Flores here, who is the local Garifuna leader. He is famous here and is also an international musician. You can ask for him to show you around. We gave a small donation for the Garifuna community who still suffer from the last hurricane. At these coordinates there is also a small restaurant where you can eat delicious Tapado and other local dishes
