Uruguay-Argentina.
Took us Overall about 90 min on a Monday afternoon. We insisted to be checked out on our Uruguayan TIP and to get an Argentinan one. It seems recommendable to take a Photo of your Uruguayan TIP with the stamp that you left the country on it to avoid hassle when reentering the country some other day.

URU > ARG
Weird border crossing. Was pretty fast but some problems occurred for us :

1 - Nobody knew where we should go to get the TIP done. Officers told us it was not needed but as it was not our first entry into Argentina, we knew we needed it and insisted. We finally found someone to do it on the building to the right : at first no one was there but after a few minutes a man showed up and did the paperwork.

2 - After entering Argentina there, we wanted to exit it from Iguazu. When we arrived there, they would’nt let us get through as the officers from Concordia registered an exit and not an entry to the country… After 1 hour, a call to some superior and a threat to pay multas, they realized it was their fault and fixed it all. Maybe it was just us but be careful

Report Check-In

Argentina to Uruguay- with truck camper and two dogs.

1- DOGS- get health certificate and negative leishmaniasis test and certificate of microchip from vet. We worked with Mauro in Santa Fe (see pin). Take all that to Senasa (Santa Fe or Concordia). Take receipt and go to RapiPay to pay the fee. Show receipt back and Senasa and get forms for border.
Approach border and park off to the right side. Do not follow large trucks. Enter glass doors in center of building. Get passport stamp and show car info. Get small slip of paper to give to guard to open the barricade.
Take Argentina TIP to aduana on other side of road (exiting Uruguay) and turn it in. Take a photo to save, just in case. Return to glass front building on entering Uruguay side. Find aduana for Uruguay at last cashier/desk. Show all papers and get Uruguay TIP. The agent was very impatient and crabby to us. And reminded us several times that if we stay more than a year it’s a fine of 20$ per day.
Take TIP and slip of paper and passports to vehicle and approach barricade.
Senasa and food check will approach vehicle. Give dog papers to senasa. Open door for food check. The guy looked in the camper and said “disfruta” and waved us on. Took nothing and checked nothing.
Never saw a low bar or gate or needed a ticket to open it. Drive across bridge area and you are in Salto, Uruguay.

15min to made the passeport, after the permiso was like 15min to make. After we wait like 30min to go to the check of the car, every car was checked. It was minutious, like they opened every thing, looking for some stuff for argentina.

Report Check-In

Easy border crossing from Argentina to Uruguay. Only Uruguay stamp on passport. Hand in Argentina TIP and got Uruguay TIP in 10 Minutes. All good.

Report Check-In

the formalities work very well the people are very helpful

It took us 45 minutes to complete the formalities, but the traffic jam at the bridge from the Uruguay side took an hour and a half

Report Check-In

One hour and ten minutes to clear customs and immigration on a Thursday morning with a bit of a line-up. First, you will be checked for PCR and vaccinations. We know we made mistakes for the on-line declaration but they corrected it for us. TIP process was easy but you must have insurance. No check of vehicle.

At the moment the only border which is open for tourists if you want to go from Uruguay to Argentina. Open from 8 am to 4 pm. Busy but well organized. No toll for the bridge. Micration Uruguay / Argentina are in the same building on the left. Aduana Uruguay is located on the backside of this building. Aduana Argentina you will find at the building on the right hand side. Friendly guys. For Argentina you need to do a declaration online. No QR code for the wallet at the end of the procedure (like Uruguay does). So better to print it out. Make things easier. Nobody asked about fruits etc. Took us 1 hour to cross on a wednesday morning.

Efficiënt border, one person for exit Argentinië and enter Uruguay. You don’t get an exit stamp. If your car is higher than 2:40m you need a ticket to open the barrier. You can get it for free at the red container at the right side of the road. It took less than 30min (incl. Tip)

Report Check-In

Very easy bad nice people, but no exit stamp from Argentina.

Report Check-In

when we came in we've been the only ones at these quiet border.
everyone was very friendly an they explained clearly what to do getting all required stamps for the mh and us.
finally we realized that our mh has more than 2.4 m hights. so they told us to go to a red container 75m away to get a barcode coupon. this is needed to open a barrier about 300m away in Argentina.

Report Check-In

Coming from Argentina, if your vehicle is over 2m40 you need to get a ticket with a barcode to be able to pass the bridge. It's free for campers but you need the paper. Nobody told us, so we got in an annoying situation.

Report Check-In

Checked in on Sunday- very fast took all in all less than 30 minutes. Entering Argentina we were asked about the seguro/ car insurance so we provided paperwork which was checked and promptly returned. Had to get a Paje receipt on the other Side of road ( walked over and parked MH ) due to height of our MH. Zero cost and took only few minutes. Insert the ticket on way out and on our way to Argentina in ziffiee..

Report Check-In

Warning, you do need a car insurance before crossing the border. You can not get one here. They will not let pass without one. And since a month the is no insureance agent in Salto that will issuee one to foreign cars!
If you haven't got one, you will have to get one. The guy that denied us access, wasn't too friendly about it and wasn't very helpfull. The secind time round, his collegue dealt with use and appologised for the inconvienance.

When crossing here, you don't get an exit stamp. Only the entrance stamp.

Report Check-In

No problems. Took us one hour fit immigration and customs. No fee and friendly staff.
We asked the border police if you need reflective stickers and the' 110km' for a camper van in Argentina and they said it is not mandatory for tourism, only for trucks and mini buses. We bought one at the next gas station anyhow.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Quick and easy from Uruguay into Argentina. The Argentina Aduana was a little confused about what to do as we have an existing TIP for Argentina from when we entered from Chile in our Chilean plated vehicle, (which is valid for another 3 months and the Aduana at Iguazú told us to hold on to it when we crossed into Brazil) but he let us enter after a few minutes of discussion as there didn't seem any point to him issuing us another one

Report Check-In

The border office is on the argentinian side of the dam. Uruguayan and argentinian offices in one building. Exiting uruguay you only get the argentina entery stamp and vice versa.
No costs, 40minutes.
Reportedly its prohibited to bring fresh produce over the border. We had some but they didnt check.
